Speedy deletion of Cosbianity

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Cosbianity, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I believe the page was deleted for the wrong reasons (it was said to be gibberish, but I very much doubt that), but it should have been deleted nonetheless because it didn't provide sources that verified the stuff in it. See WP:GROUP for Wikipedia's inclusion requirements on articles about groups. Oh, and if it wasn't a real Facebook group/crazy people following, then you might not wanna add articles like that. Wikipedia editors tend to get cranky when people vandalize Wikipedia (I know I do). Killiondude (talk) 07:27, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did you read the "Primary criteria" section on that page? (WP:GROUP#Primary criteria). The group has to have sources (outside of it's own self-generated material) that talks about it more than just a trivial mention. Once you get enough sources that talk about the subject, it is considered "notable" enough for Wikipedia and you have to cite those sources. If you look at Flying Spaghetti Monster, they have roughly 30-something sources. Generally three/four or more sources will constitute something as notable.
