See meta:Help:Sorting for extended help with sortable tables. I don't believe they can autosort, however. Fleetflame · whack! whack! · 21:55, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Character Colorizing

[edit]

{{helpme}} Is is possible to color a string within a table character by character? Darthnader37 (talk) 22:39, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Example: <span style="color: #ff0000">F</span> gives F
Pick a color code from Web colors and use that instead of #ff0000 used in this example (if you don't want to use red). Then you can repeat the process for each character. This can be used both in tables and in normal text. Iceblock (talk) 23:11, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Max string length

[edit]

{{helpme}} Is there an easy way to find the max length of a bunch of strings using #len ?

Do you mean the length of the longest string? Intelligentsium 00:01, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And how many do you mean exactly by "a bunch"? Intelligentsium 00:04, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I mean that I want to compare 10-30 strings and find the length of the longest string. Darthnader37 (talk) 00:38, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That extension isn't enabled on Wikipedia. I assume you're trying to do it on another site? m.o.p 01:16, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
