Original research in demographic data
[edit]Hi, Dati12, and thanks for your contributions to List of Malaysian states by Human Development Index and other demographic articles. I've removed the last table column with "comparable country" data from the table in this article. The comparison column contained a synthesis of data from multiple sources that doesn't exist in any one source; this amounts to prohibited original research. In particular, the column you added makes assertions about the similarity in HDI between a state and the HDI of another country in the world. However, no citation actually contains this comparison. Please be sure that all information you add to Wikipedia articles is verifiable and can be backed up with a citation to a reliable source. The comparison column does not meet this criterion, and thus had to be removed. For more information, see Wikipedia:No original research#Synthesis of published material. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 03:54, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- Same thing for List of districts of Botswana by Human Development Index, List of Georgian regions by Human Development Index, and Provinces of Fiji. Please don't add "comparison data" to HDI or GDP demographic articles unless you can find a secondary source that has comparison data that supports it. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 06:34, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
