Draft:Nassau_County_Executive[edit]

Your article has been moved to Draft:Nassau_County_Executive as it was named incorrectly, and also not ready for the main encyclopedia space as a work in progress. -- Longhair\talk 23:01, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Changes on Yuzuru Hanyu article reverted[edit]

Hello DavidVolonte. I reverted your changes in the Competitive highlights section of Hanyu's article to the previous version for the following reasons:

  • According to MOS:ACCESS, tables must not include column headers between rows. They mess up the accessibility of the table with screenreader tools among others.
  • We split the table by senior and junior seasons to reduce the number of empty cells and keep the table at reasonable size. Too wide tables cannot be read properly on narrow screens, especially in mobile view.
  • Tables should have a descriptive caption using the markup |+caption; legends and explanatory footnotes should be placed as bulleted lists above the table. We were told that in the review process of Hanyu's sub-articles for featured article class.

Ideally, this table formatting should be used consistently on all figure skater biographies. It is proven to satisfy all criteria of the Wikipedia Manual of Style, which is mandatory to achieve featured status. Henni147 (talk) 09:48, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 23.19.74.164. I have a feeling I was banned because I used a VPN whilst editing. DavidVolonte (talk) 05:21, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That may well be; although the block message says that the /18 range you're on has been blocked, so it might be for more than that. But since you're not personally blocked, my recommendation is that you go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the directions there (you don't need to have edit access) to request IP block exemption, so you can edit and use your VPN. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:53, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
