Vandalism

[edit]

Hi, David - just wanted to let you know that I think your user page got vandalized, in case you want to update your counter. See you around! - Tapir Terrific 17:32, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much! It sucks - the one day i'm away from my PC all hell breaks out! :-) --David C 15:49, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Major18

[edit]
  • Comley stop accusing me of being a vandly, Pak21's username is clearly racist and therefore i believe that he should be blocked. As im sure you are aware pak is the abriviation of a commonly used racist term for people of Asion or Pakistani origin. Please look in the dictionary if you don't understand (and see if you can find any good words to describe yourself). I will not tollerate racism on wikipedia and you being a socilist/communist/%*"*er should not either. --Major18 14:22, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Did you not like my style for your homepage? --Major18 14:25, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.P.S. I can see a resemblance between you and the picture, your both big headed. (Both of you have heads double the size of your body)--Major18 15:10, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

    • Number 1, who are you to judge Pak21 simply because of a username which you have interpreted to be racist? If you are looking for a conclusive answer I suggest you ask him/her directly. Secondly, this feud is not constructive and does not benefit the encyclopaedia. I would appreciate it if you were to remove my name from your list of so called 'vandals' on your talk page, and perhaps read the recently posted warning before denying it yourself! --David 15:28, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

    • Thanks, just out of interest, why did you restore major18's comment when I tried to delete it? If its wiki policy could u give me the details for future reference? --David 16:03, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mechanismtongs

[edit]

(in response to a post by Mechanismtongs)

  • PAK is also the Dutch term for a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and probably a lot more. I would allow the name unless he shows particular interest in articles about people and countries he's supposed to be racist towards (which I haven't checked). Do you have any evidence apart from the name that this is the case? - Mgm|(talk) 14:15, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • I think there has been a misunderstanding. I presume the comment which i deleteted earlier today was unsigned, and if you will check this page's history you will see that it was posted by User:Mechanismtongs[2]. Over the last few weeks i have been having a number of problems with this user regarding vandalism etc, and this is not the first time he has tried to have a go at Pak21. My response to the comment is posted on this page, but if i can find his original statement i will post it here :-)

  • Someone deleted my comment. Isnt that an act of vandalism? Shouldnt that person be blocked? I would NOT delete someonen elses comments, so is it unfair to do so to me?

Please reply asap --Mechanismtongs 15:32, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SOZ that was me forgot to login

    • With paks username the only reason i am suspicious is that if u put pak in google it is assumed as the racist term "paki". He also did not deny it on my talk page that his username was racially spiteful--Mechanismtongs 15:35, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • I understand your concern, but you question has already been answered on this page and there's no reason to start labelling people as racists. The comment I removed could easily be classified as a personal attack. The encyclopaedia would probably benefit more from constructive editing than unwarranted abuse towards other users. --David Comley 15:49, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Monty Python TfD compromise

[edit]

There is a compromise now posted on the TfD if you are still interested in this debate. One question, even though you are against this TfD, have you even taken the master template out for a test drive?
