Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Tim Lamont requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Notice

The article Tim Lamont has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage to meet WP:GNG, and does not appear to meet WP:NSCHOLAR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hi Daw1978! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Deletion discussion about Penguin Crime & Espionage

[edit]

Hello, Daw1978, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Shushugah, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Penguin Crime & Espionage, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Penguin Crime & Espionage.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Shushugah}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Feel free to delete it. It wasn't intended for promotion of anything, just to be informative. It's similar to the article 'Pocket Penguins' which as been on Wikipedia for ages. That one is not my work. Perhaps it is indeed too soon for this article. My plan was to update it in October when the next 10 books are released, but it may have gone by then. So be it. The Pocket Penguins one is full of broken links if anyone wants another thing to fix Daw1978 (talk) 16:49, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
