Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Dcarzola. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 12:03, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

You claim that you took the image of you and your musical partner, but the image does not appear to be a selfie. The copyright of an image typically rests with the photographer, not the person depicted, unless you had a contract with the photographer assigning you the copyright. If the photographer holds the copyright, they will need to be the one to upload it to Commons and release the image for use by anyone for any purpose with attribution(which is what Wikipedia's copyright requires). It's easier from a copyright standpoint for you to take a selfie and upload it yourself. 331dot (talk) 12:07, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My camera was set on a timer. This is quite common and results in a much more professional looking photo. Dcarzola (talk) 12:10, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks for the clarification. 331dot (talk) 12:22, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much. Dcarzola (talk) 14:30, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Dcarzola, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as MarrelP (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 19:02, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Unbroken Bond requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
