Howdy. Now that Wales is protected. Would you consider unblocking the editors-in-question? GoodDay (talk) 20:18, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Countries of the United Kingdom

Howdy. The flag should be removed from Northern Ireland's entry, per multiple discussions across Wikipedia. I reverted myself back to the flag usage, only because I wasn't sure if that article was under 1RR or not. GoodDay (talk) 14:00, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, I have restored the status quo for now.  DDStretch  (talk) 14:25, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
If you wish to continue to discuss your conduct in this matter, I am happy to do so here. Miles Creagh (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:20, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
Indeed, this is abuse of administrative position. I do not know the ins and outs of the bureaucracy of Wikipedia, but I think Mr. DDStretch here needs flagged. Cauleyflower (talk) 20:51, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
Please do not trouble me with any more of these messages from yourself. The issue is your conduct and tactics involved in the matter, along with two other editors on that article page.  DDStretch  (talk) 19:21, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

To both of you and any others who choose to be outraged on here: please discuss the facts and reliable sources on the appropriate talk page. I do not wish to see any more bluster on here just because you have been found out for failing to abide by the BRD principle we are supposed to abide by on wikipedia, and for indulging in tag-team edit warring.  DDStretch  (talk) 21:45, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

I have responded to you at the Troubles mediation page, but if you will permit me I would like to add a personal note here to assure you that I now accept you were acting on bad information, not bad faith, and to apologise to you for any implication to the contrary. I also had a wee peek at your user page and notice you attended Stirling University and are from Cheshire. I was born in Dublin, but grew up mainly in Bridge of Allan and my first job was in Warrington. So, basically - swapsies! I also have a brother who has been placed in a similar if not identical situation to yours due to the insane immigration policies of HMG; in his case he as a wife and child stuck in Costa Rica. Believe me when I tell you that I am sorry for your troubles, and have no desire to add to them, even in an infinitesmally small manner such as an unpleasant interaction on Wikipedia.
