Thank you for not immediately deleting the post because I have attempted to put it up before. I know they are in the process of having a website made, but unfortunately they do not have one yet. the only thing I know of that is similar is the Gay-straight alliance formed at Joe E. Newsome High School. That is where the HAC got their inspiration to form from. they follow the same rules as them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_E._Newsome_High_School —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.211.151.138 (talk) 02:21, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Usertalk:71.174.23.153[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. As you are the only editor of the page, it is eligible for speedy deletion under criterion G7, so I've added a {{db-author}} template. —Snigbrook 23:53, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like I may not have messed up, except for the fact that I copied the archive into two places... Demortes (talk) 00:44, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do you still want it to be deleted? If you prefer to leave it blanked instead, I'll close the MFD page Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Demortes/Archive 1. —Snigbrook 00:50, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As noted, if it gets deleted, leave the talk for the actual archive... Whatever is easiest.Demortes (talk) 00:59, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Abuse reports is for reporting repeat vandals, who have already been blocked on multiple occasions, to ISPs. 69.112.161.20 has had a recent final warning but has never been blocked; you can report vandalism such as this at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (WP:AIV). It's probably not worth reporting it now as the vandalism was a few hours ago, and appears to be just random vandalism. —Snigbrook 00:08, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Worth learning... first time I requested block/ban from IP. Demortes (talk) 00:47, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How'd you know? - Copied from Hersfold talk page for completion[edit]

Hey, where can I find where that user was blocked? Demortes (talk) 17:51, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two methods: you can use Special:BlockList, which shows all currently active blocks (example for Wikitotalmesser); or you can look in Special:Logs, entering the name of the blocked user's userpage in the "title" field (example for Wikitotalmesser). Hope this helps. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:59, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Was what I said, about the ublocking page the correct policy to refer to then? Demortes (talk) 18:04, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I closed this page accidentially and got distracted. The correct page to send them to actually would have been Wikipedia:Appealing a block - you sent them to a disambiguation page in the article space. Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:50, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your help and clarification. Demortes (talk) 19:00, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:25, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
