<CITYNAME> is a global city...[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you added content beginning, "<CITYNAME> is a global city..." to a dozen or so city articles, like Brussels, Bangkok, Tokyo, and many more. All of them including a link to the article Globalization and World Cities Research Network. At Wikipedia, information you add must be verifiable, and should include a citation to a reliable source. Accordingly, I have undone these edits as unsourced, and some had other problems as well. But don't worry, the information is not lost—it's still there in the history of the article, and you can retrieve it, and add it back, once you can find a reliable source to support it, as long as you are completely independent of the GWCRN. More on this, in a separate section. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 03:50, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a connection to GWCRN?[edit]

Following up on previous section: regarding the same set of edits to city-named articles, there is another concern: the repetitive edits, all with the same intro sentence, all with the same attempt to reference GWCRN, makes me wonder if you have some connection to the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. Do you? Here's some standard boilerplate that explains Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy. You can still edit the article, even if you are connected somehow with GWCRN, but there are certain steps you must take, first. Please have a look at the following information, and follow the recommended steps, if this applies to you. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 03:54, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, DennisLeigh1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Globalization and World Cities Research Network, you may have a conflict of interest (COI).   • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Mathglot (talk) 03:54, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022[edit]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 14:44, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do not select "major" movies based on your personal opinion. Read WP:NPOV. Films are not bolded in filmography tables. Please stop making film names bold. Sundayclose (talk) 14:49, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
