Mafia Dumptruck

Mafia Dumptruck were a parody/novelty rock band from Houma, LA. They were formed in 1996 and disbanded in 2002 and were Signed to Sloppy Abortion Records. They were known for their noisy offbeat and out of tune songs with provacative, politicially incorrect lyrics which were at times racially and culturally insensitive in a comedic tone to match the series of honks and dings of the music. Mafia Dumptruck played several shows and were banned from one particular club in Houma. They had a small but faithful internet cult following and appeared on college radio stations in Jacksonville, FL, Raleigh, NC, and Denver, CO. Seveal bands such as The Smocks and Aborted Christ site them as influences. Mafia Dumptruck themselves site influnces such as The Frogs, Sheenea Easton, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

At the Time of Disbanding, Mafia Dumptruck consisted of Anna Nicole Brown Simpson, EMON Menendez, Sarah Michelle Hitler, and Phoebe Kavorkian. Past Band members were Cher Dhamer, Pamela Lee McVeigh, and Fiona Swaggart. The real identies and names of the band members are still unknown. Their Band names derived of both positive and negative icons in pop culture, much like the band members' names of Marilyn Manson.

IN 1998, Mafia Dumptruck completed work in their debut album entitled "Did Someone Say Shit?". The entire album was recorded on a 4-track and featured a very "home grown" feel. The album featured parodies of songs by Tripping Daisy and Lipps, INC. The album was in infancy of Mafia Dumptruck, and featured adolescent humor mixed with esoteric inside jokes by the band members themselves. After completion of the album, drummer Cher Dhamer left the band and was replaced with Sarah Michelle Hitler.

In the 2 years gap between albums, Mafia Dumptruck remained dormant and members would occasionally have practice and rehearsals, and occasional parties and meetings at local coffee shops to do anything that wasn't Mafia Dumptruck related. After several ideas, they conceived ideas for songs and in 2000, they finished recording on "A Door".

A Door (the title) was a parody of the album Adore by the Smashing Pumpkins, the album cover also featured a similar cover to Adore, but featured a stick figure pointing to a door. The stick figure woman is adoned with a dress and a T-shirt which said "herpes" on it, one of the tracks on the album "Ava Wal-Mart" was a parody of "Ava Adore" by the Smashing Pumpkins, which was also on Adore. A Door was considered Mafia Dumptruck's defining album, and the band members themselves claimed to have had a great time recording and conceiving the album. The subject matter of the album contained Oprah Winfrey, Wal-Mart, Amputees, Homosexuality, sexual intercourse with the homeless, Jews, K-Mart, and food stamps. Upon hearing the album, Sloppy Abortion Records signed the band and Mafia Dumptruck became a favorite on mp3.com. They continued to play private parties in support of their album while recording their follow-up album "I killed the radio star" another spinoff of another band, the Bugles, and their song "Video Killed the Radio Star", Mafia Dumptruck also picked up Bassist Phoebe Kavorkian, with EMON Menendez moving from Bass as her primary instrument, to keyboard, to replace then defunct band member Pamela Lee McVeigh. Fiona Swaggart also left the band. They also appeared on a Tribute Album for the Frogs with their 2 covers of popular cult classics "he had the change done at the shop (april fools)" and "I'm Evil, Jack".

I killed the Radio Star was written and recorded in 2001 and released the same year. The album featured an evolution in the Mafia Dumptruck catalogue and was the most "mature" of the three. While the random dark and random humor remained, the album featured real-life stories about scenarios of the band members, shown in such songs as "carrot top", "Toby (she drives a school bus)", and "manager got crabs". Mafia Dumptruck was also featured on several Sloppy Abortion Compilations, both originals and cover songs. The Smocks covered "having sex with homeless people is fun" on one of the compilations. During this time, Mafia Dumptruck also recorded the music for Julie Frisella's deubut songs "HAVE AIDS" and "Stalker". Soon after, the "Manager got Crabs" EP was released, featuring b-sides that were not on the album, as well as a remix of Sloppy Abortion Record's Sailor Bob 's "going back to the sailboat", which emcompassed references to songs by Missy Elliott and Britney Spears The song was written and recorded solely by Sarah Michelle Hitler, as was "Gother than you" which appeared on I killed the radio star. After a few more songs were recorded following the album, Mafia Dumptruck split up for reasons unknown. Immediately following the split, a song was recorded solely by Emon Menendez and Anna Nicole Brown Simpson entitled "Chinese Lady", this song was labled as Mafia Dumptruck and was supposed to be the "goodbye" song. The band members are estranged from one another except for Anna Nicole Brown Simpson and EMON Menendez, who are close personal friends.

Anna Nicole Brown Simpson currently resides in Austin, TX. EMON Menendez is married and lives in Houma, LA. Sarah Michelle Hitler is married and lives in Houma, LA. She is expecting her 2nd child. Phoebe Kavorkian is expecting her 1st Child and resides in Chauvin, LA Pamela Lee McVeigh is married and lives in Houma, LA. Fiona Swaggart is current married and lives. in Houma, LA. The whereabouts of Cher Dhamer are unknown.
