Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:05, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We received an email stating that we are promoting our organization on Wikipedia. However, we are confident that we are not promoting our organization but rather contributing to a Wikipedia page about an upcoming event in Bhutan—the Bhutan Innovation Forum. Our goal is to provide information and raise awareness about the event. We are strictly adhering to all the guidelines and rules set by Wikipedia. DhiMedia (talk) 06:07, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"Raising awareness" equals promotion; this is not open for debate. You may not use Wikipedia to tell the world about the existence of your organization or any events it is affiliated with. Writing about your organization or its activities is an inherent conflict of interest, and we have no interest in what an organization wishes to say about itself.
Not every topic merits inclusion on Wikipedia; the mere existence of a company/organization/event does not justify its inclusion. All topics must meet Wikipedia's notability criteria to be considered worthy of inclusion, with more refined criteria for the specific cases of companies/organizations and events. For something to be considered notable, it must have already received significant coverage from multiple reliable sources that are independent of the topic itself. We will not accept articles about up-and-coming topics whose notability has not already been established.
Finally, your account name violates Wikipedia's username policy, as it represents an organization. Accounts are for individuals, not companies, organizations or groups of people. You may not edit under your current name; you have to request to be unblocked per the instructions above, with a new name that represents you as an individual. You are also responsible for ensuring that access to this account is never shared with anyone else. If your only interest is to write about your organization, it is unlikely that you will be unblocked, so you should look for an alternative outlet that permits this type of writing. However, if you would like to be an individual contributor, writing about topic areas unrelated to your conflict of interest, then your chances are better. After building up a constructive edit history and understanding of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, then you may be allowed to indirectly write about your organization, provided you make the necessary disclosures. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 13:44, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
