Thanks so much for your help! So, it looks like the article is posted live on Wikipedia now. (?) I'll have time this afternoon to work on the suggestions from you and the other editor. I really appreciate your help! :) DianeChojnowski (talk) 13:08, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chevy, I haven't had time to do any revisions yet and the article was moved by someone from my userspace to the live wikipedia. What do you think? Should we move it back? I don't know how to do this, but I don't want the article to be deleted if it's not ready. DianeChojnowski (talk) 13:29, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! If you're trying to contact someone, such as Chevymontecarlo, you can place the comment on their User Talk page (e.g. User talk:Chevymontecarlo) so that they'll see it (just as I'm posting on your user talk page to contact you now, because of your helpme). I'll leave the helpme up anyway, though, for someone (maybe Chevymontecarlo) to answer. --ais523 15:08, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Diane, sometimes people can be too helpful. I wanted to make sure how to properly move the page you created, as it wasn't quite a standard situation, but I wanted to wait until you were ready. Unfortunately, someone saw my request asking how to do it, and missed that I asked it not be done yet. Undoing it isn't trivial, but if you want to work on it more in user space, we can make that happen. Usually, most editors are anxious to have the article in article space as soon as possible, so if that's OK with you , we will leave it where it is.

Just in case you have trouble finding it, the article is Home Energy Saver. If you try searching for it, you won't find it in the Wikipedia search option until tomorrow.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.--SPhilbrickT 14:31, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I appreciate help. Thanks so much for contributing. Do you think that it's ready? I don't want it to be deleted... DianeChojnowski (talk) 13:12, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have more suggestions on editing? Is the tone ok? I think I have enough good references. DianeChojnowski (talk) 13:26, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a look at the article; it doesn't seem to have any problems major enough to exclude it from articlespace (as opposed to drafts). It does have problems, though, mostly in the style; it reads more like a press release or maybe an infomercial than an encyclopedia entry, which has a rather different style of writing. (The external links section seems a bit excessive, too; I'd probably only link to a main homepage for the product in question, because normally you could reach the other pages from there if you were interested, although that particular homepage doesn't seem to.) You could try reading Wikipedia:Guide_to_writing_better_articles for some suggestions; in particular, the article seems to be using sections for things that don't really need sections, and to contain too much specific detail; for instance, the bulleted list in the "overview" section would be better replaced by a couple of sentences. (I imagine that in an encyclopedia-like style, the article could be quite a bit shorter and still contain most of the same information.) I've put some cleanup tags on the article to highlight problems (so that either you, or any other reader, could spot and help to fix them); there's nothing too wrong with the article but the writing style and some of the formatting, though. I hope that helps! --ais523 18:24, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi Ais523, Thanks for the clean-up tags. I revised the references using the Cite tool, added categories, and linked from some other articles. It's starting to shape up. Still need to revise the content in line with your recommendations. Do I remove the clean-up tag for "orphan"? Thanks! DianeChojnowski (talk) 14:49, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Women's march-Des Moines crowd estimates

[edit]

Saw you lowered the crowd estimate at the Des Moines march on the 2017 Women's March page. Did the figures change in the cited article? You said your data is based on reliable sources, but you didn't add any cites. Can you please add those? Thanks for your contributions.Bjhillis (talk) 14:31, 22 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
