Re: Your question at WP:PERM/ACC[edit]

I saw your post at WP:PERM/ACC. It's unlikely that you would be granted the account creator user right for this purpose without substantial experience on-site. The "easy" solution would be to assign your students to create an account at home prior to in-class instruction. This would avoid the 6 accounts/day limit. You may wish to check out Wikipedia:Education program, which has resources for educators and some best practices for how to design assignments involving Wikipedia. Please be especially careful to understand our notability guidelines and policies about verifiability before providing assignments to your students. Thanks for your interest in Wikipedia! ~ Rob13Talk 21:55, 25 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS Account Request[edit]

I confirm that I have requested an account on the UTRS tool. Dingmundson (talk)

unblock|I am a retired public high school teacher. I understand that, years ago, I was accused of meatpuppetry for helping students in my class set up multiple accounts on the same day from the same IP. This was an innocent mistake, and I think if you review the accounts linked to this activity you will see that the work the students did was serious and responsible. There seems to be one student who wanted to publish or edit an article about Famous Dex, a rapper. Although this student doesn't seem to have done anything wrong, he was dragged into a controversy about a famous dex wiki page. I still use my same old gmail account and would like to have my privileges reinstated. You will see no other bad behavior associated with anything of mine except for this long-ago and entirely innocent incident with multiple account creations from the same IP.
