Greetings, your edits at Ruffino were reverted because they were promotional in nature, rather than being a neutral description of the brand of wine. Wikipedia is not the place to claim "ideal conditions" for a given winery, particularly without explicit citations to academic works, and not the place for a list of product offerings, etc. A few months back I went through and chopped out promotional material, so I've reverted back to that neutral version. If you have any questions/comment, please reply here, but then hit the link to my "Talk" page and post the coding {{tb|User talk:DocGarGiuli}} so that it will let me know that there's a reply here. Take care! MatthewVanitas (talk) 14:36, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- Dear Matthew,
- thank you for your message. I understood your points as a matter of principle, but I would let you know that I've just updated an existing page. Please take a look to the Ruffino wikipage on line until the month of December. As you can see, I've just updated the list of estates, wines (there aren't indication about awards, accolades or tasting notes or commercial references), and the information about the property.
- how can I insert those new infos on the page? the information on line at the moment are not correct at all.
I'm sorry if for any sort of problem I've created, but I weel know the page of other wine makers (e.i. Antinori) and I didn't find a substantial difference in the structure and kind of informations . Please, could you give me the possibility to organize and upload the content in the correct way? Thank you again for your work and support, regards,

- Greetings, it is indeed tricky to write company pages without being promotional, particularly if you have a WP:conflict of interest in the topic. We generally advise people affiliated with a business not to try to build the page, though of course anyone is always welcome to remove any vandalism or mis-coding in any page. The page Antinori, to my eyes, has some issues as well with listing product-line minutiae better suited to a wine guide than a comprehensive, encyclopedic treatment of the topic.
- What I would suggest, since I'm not a wine expert, is that you visit the Talk page of WikiProject Wine: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wine. That's a forum for Wikipedians interested in developing wine articles, and they should be very familiar with proper presentation of winery articles. I would go to them and explain your concerns about the current article. If you are indeed affiliated with the company, it would help to state that, and to acknowledge that maybe you shouldn't be heavily involved in building the page, but you do want to make sure it is accurate and balanced compared to pages for competing companies. If there are specific articles for other wineries that you feel are unfairly promotional, that is not justification for Ruffino to do the same, but instead a reason to bring this to WP:Wine's attention so that they can cut out any unfairly promotional material in the other articles. Hope this helps! MatthewVanitas (talk) 21:59, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
