Jesus in Islam

[edit]

Hello, thank you for your contribution at the Jesus in Islam entry. You have a misspelling, an out of place comma and a sentence which needs further explanation. I also noticed you included a misunderstanding in what is traditionally believed by Christians regarding who Jesus / Isa is. I was going to correct the errors but wanted to include you in editing those errors and clarify what you tried to state. --HafizHanif (talk) 04:16, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

George Orwell

[edit]

I reverted your edit today, and wanted to explain why:

  1. He was not an outspoken supporter of either political side. The following reference quoting Orwell's own "Why I Write" supports the statement you removed, that he was an outspoken supporter of democratic socialism, and certainly does not support your statement.
  2. ... and both the democratics and rublicans claim him as their own. This would need references to show who has made such claims, what they said and where it was published. You will be aware also that the division between Democrats and Republicans is a feature of US politics, not of British politics within which Orwell's work was located.
  3. He was quoted saying something was "too left wing"... This needs a specific citation to where Orwell wrote anything like this or was reported as saying this.
  4. ... and because of that statement most people regarded him as having more in common with the right wingers. Needs specific citations to show that this was a common view about Orwell and that the view was a result of a certain statement of Orwell's.

Thank you for your contributions, but please be aware of the importance of always citing sources to back up anything you add to WIkipedia. This is not the place to add unsupported statements from your personal knowledge or opinions: Noyster (talk), 15:54, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
