we were correcting factually incorrect information about our company that we know to be incorrect - this is fundamentally not advertising, it is fact-checking and correction

Decline reason:

so how can any company correct factually incorrect information on wikipedia, all company personnel will be blocked using your logic, there must be a mechanism for correction and fact-checking

Decline reason:

All company personnel that do not follow Wikipedia guidelines are indeed usually blocked. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company wants to say about itself, but in what independent reliable sources say about it. Your company is free to describe itself on its own website. If you think that your edits were "correction and fact checking", you have no business editing Wikipedia.
