[edit]You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.- To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
- If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here:
{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

[edit]Hello ELT at Ancora. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:ELT at Ancora. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=ELT at Ancora|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ElKevbo (talk) 23:43, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- Seconding ElKevbo's message above. You were already informed about this disclosure requirement when you were blocked for your previous username, "Ancora Communications". Going forward, please make this required disclosure immediatey, and stick to the talk page for making edit requests. DanCherek (talk) 23:59, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- @ElKevbo @DanCherek {{paid|user=ELT at Ancora|employer=Ancora}}
- Does this satisfy your requirements? I have never used Wikipedia before and I am actively learning how to use your confusing website. I am clearly employed by Ancora, as is noted in my username and am simply trying to update the pages, as the information currently seen on them is outdated and/or inaccurate. The updates I have attempted to make are both true and publicly verifiable. I was instructed to do this by my supervisor, but I certainly don't earn any additional monies or benefits by doing this.
This user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by Ancora for their contributions to Wikipedia. - ELT at Ancora (talk) 14:59, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- I have copied this to your user page, thank you. That takes care of the disclosure part. If you would like changes to be made to the article, you can do so using the talk apge at Talk:Miller-Motte College, using the {{Request edit}} template, and remember to include a citation to a reliable, independent source when doing so. Thanks, DanCherek (talk) 15:27, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
