[edit]Hello, I'm 2406:3003:2077:1E60:EDE9:C688:2C0C:D5F5. I noticed that you recently attempted to add a photograph to Ren (British musician) by pasting in a URL from a Google search for images. Please don't do this. Firstly, this is problematic from a copyright standpoint. You cannot simply use a photo that you found somewhere else on the Internet without permission, doing so is generally a copyright violation, unless the picture is already released under a permissive license that is compatible with the image use policy. Secondly, this isn't going to work on a technical level; pictures for use on Wikipedia are stored on its own servers or on Wikimedia Commons. You can find out more about how to add images to articles at this tutorial. I would also suggest that you check out other introductory tutorials to learn more about editing. In any case, don't worry, as your mistake has already been undone. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. 2406:3003:2077:1E60:EDE9:C688:2C0C:D5F5 (talk) 18:03, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
