Elgin Marbles[edit]

You have just reversed a change made in line with Wikipedia's Manual of Style at WP:PUFFERY. The description of Christopher Hitchins was an example of "peacock terms"; the claim that he had made the same argument "numerous times" when only one example is provided - and an unsuitable primary source at that - was not established. You are therefore disrupting a responsible edit and have the choice of undoing your recent reversal or being reported to the administrators and perhaps losing your editing privileges. Looking at the Manual of Style, this is not an example of puffery, it is a description of him and how his views are relevant to the page. It is in line with the descriptions in his own wikipedia page. If you wish to remove the 'at numerous times', or perhaps 'Noted' then you may do so, but I would advise that is the only edit you make as otherwise you would be removing the context of the paragraph and disrupting a responsible edit which may lead to you being reported to the administrators and perhaps losing your editing privileges. Your own edit was not responsible and therefore if you reinstate it without change you shall be reported to the administrators. (Edwoodstock (talk) 22:49, 21 October 2020 (UTC))[reply]
