Mt Adams pic

I put the watermark on the picture so nobody would steal it. It is fully my own and there is no reason to delete it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mtadamstumala.jpg -JoJoes123

Uploaded Jpeg

Hey Eeekster, I had uploaded this .jpeg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MattBomer.jpeg because I had wanted to practice the different aspects to writing wikicode in my sandbox. I was unaware that I could not personally delete my file uploads. Could you please delete this file, it was just a test and is not useful to anything on wikipedia. Thank you so much Sydpphillips (talk) 16:46, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Ayman Mohyeldin

Please stop restoring what I am editing - this is libelous information that has resulted in death threats against Mr Mohyeldin. Please look at his social media sites for confirmation of said death threats

It's well sourced. If you think it should be removed, discuss the removal on its talk page. Eeekster (talk) 23:25, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

Eeekster - On 29 January, I sent an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org with a permission statement from the owner of the above mentioned image. Your evidence of permission notice is still on the page with deletion pending 5 February. When will this be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gekko redux (talkcontribs) 16:13, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

And that makes it a copyright violation. Eeekster (talk) 22:03, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Review Kurt Fuchs

Hallo, I' M&M from Vienna (Austria). I saw that you patrolled my new article Kurt Fuchs and I would be glad for a response. I know that my English is not the best as I am not a native speaker. I)'m always grateful if anyone suggests improvements. Thanks and regards --Meister und Margarita (talk) 22:35, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Armas de Wall y Devereux

Hi there - I scanned it from an old peerage publication, so how do I describe that on Wiki Commons? Many thanks your attention to this. Best M Mabelina (talk) 02:12, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

You just cite the publication as the source. Eeekster (talk) 02:14, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
the Wall y Devereux arms is from Libro d'Oro (1870 edn) - is the source now accurately recorded on the template? Many thanks M Mabelina (talk) 02:30, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

The photos I uploaded are taken by me

The photo for which you asked me for copyright are originally taken by me, and so am I right to think it does not need any copyright? These are my uploads: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=upload&user=Saurabh_Chatterjee_2 Saurabh Chatterjee 2 (talk) 02:55, 20 February 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Arthur Ted Powell in studio, 2011.jpeg

Hi Eeekster, I emailed the photographers consent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org on Feb 20. (Arteamus (talk) 03:45, 21 February 2015 (UTC))

Laws of heraldry

Hi Eeekster: could you send me Wikipedia's latest licensing rules regarding the display of coats of arms? I may well be able to help should there be any inaccuracies or loopholes which might be exploited in these guidelines.

I am a bit concerned by a seeming lack of understanding of the Laws and Rules regarding heraldic representation. None of the images displayed on Wikipedia are "owned" by anyone other than the heraldic authority which granted or recognized them, except in cases where the arms have been in such long usage and/or predate the establishment and thereby the jurisdiction of relevant heraldic authorities. Cases can only ever successfully be brought if there can be proved a demonstrable misrepresentation or loss to the Applicant.

Wikipedia's constant vigilance over image rights is to be applauded but it should bear in mind that anyone of the heraldic images displayed on its pages in whichever language, could be subject to a legal challenge under applicable jurisdiction, despite whether any "artist" (or other person) claims ownership (requiring the defendant to explain why there is no misrepresentation). This is a most unlikely set of events, although I have noticed various heraldic images which do not look much like those displayed by their bearers (not owners).

I look forward to receiving Wikipedia's latest guidance with regard to heraldry. Many thanks M Mabelina (talk) 18:43, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
PS. this has been brought to my attention by, what at first sight might seem to be a lack of source evidence, apropos of a proposal to delete the arms of General Wall y Devereux but, in actual fact, reveals a possible much wider lack of understanding of heraldic governance among Wikipedians - I look forward to hearing further.

Hola: what happened to my request?! Mabelina Mabelina (talk) 01:05, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
I'm not allowed to take a couple of days off? Besides, you should be asking in Wikipedia:Media copyright questions as mentioned at the top of this page. Eeekster (talk) 01:47, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
No worries about time off but I'm not the one who questioned heraldic image licensing... (when I'd explained its source). So what to do? I had thought you could send me Wiki's present Heraldry guidelines so I can understand why... No problema (so long as my advice above hasn't been given in vain)! M Mabelina (talk) 02:33, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
Why do you guys vanish when a serious point is made? M Mabelina (talk) 19:50, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Appreciate your efforts in maintaining the quality bar of Wikipedia. I've addressed your CSD A7 and CSD G11 concerns about the article. Let me know what your thoughts are so I can improve the article. Burntbacon
