[edit]A check of a few of your edits so far suggests that your main, if not only, purpose in editing is to impose your preferred formatting on dates. Some things, such as formatting of dates and spellings of certain words, are conventionally done differently in different parts of the English speaking world. Wikipedia does not seek to give priority of one national foem over others. Sometimes there is a good reason for preferring one style or another; for example, it makes sense to follow United States conventions in the article California and British conventions in Charles Dickens, but in the absence of such special considerations the form originally used in an article should be retained.
