[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guideline to avoid editing where you have a conflict of interest. Your contributed article, Freedom to Create Grants
[edit]Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Freedom to Create Grants. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Freedom to Create Prize. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encylopedia article, the subject must be considered to be notable?

I am really confused now. What is a good username? Can you recommend one that would be approved?
The last username I requested is my actual name, plus middle and last initials (I do not wish to use my full name online)

- There are two problems: One is that your username is the name of an organization, and the other is that you seem to be writing about your own organization. Your proposed username change is fine, and would solve the username problem. But you didn't address the question of whether you are going to continue using Wikipedia to write about your own organization, in which you have a conflict of interest, and which doesn't appear to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. There's not much point in unblocking you to change your username, if we're just going to have to block your new account for continuing to create articles that aren't what Wikipedia needs. If you're excited about creating the encyclopedia, you're welcome here, and we'd love to have your help. Yes, I do work for the organisation which recognises artists from the developing world. I have no intention of upsetting anyone or promoting anything. All I wish to do is update the article so that this year's prize winners are shown (as opposed to the list of Finalists, which is out of date). How do you suggest this is done as per your rules?
- Leave a note on the article talk page; someone will pick it up and take care of it.
