User name[edit]

Hello, thank you for the article on Alicia Yamin! Unfortunately there are some problems with your account I need to warn you about.

One problem is your username - it's great that you've made clear who you are, but Wikipedia doesn't allow shared usernames, just accounts for a single person - so something like "NicolaSmith@FXBCenter" would be fine, but not an account just named "FXBCenter" that sounds like it might be shared. So you may have your account locked and be asked to rename your account. The other issue Wikipedia has tight guidelines on promoting employees or your institute, and you may want to avoid edits that could seem promotional.

If you're interested in contributing to Wikipedia on topics related to your experience but not connected to your employer, you might be interested in joining Wikipedia projects on topics like medicine, health, international development and law, where I'm sure your expertise would be welcomed.

Otherwise all the best, let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help. Blythwood (talk) 23:17, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

June 2016[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.
