New gene article

[edit]

Hello, if you're still interested in how to go about adding a page for a new gene, add a note here and I'll come by and help out! T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 12:44, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, thank you! The gene is Interferon Lambda 4.
No problem. The first thing is to decide whether you want to write it under then name of the gene "IFNL4", or the protein "Interferon Lambda 4" (both names will redirect to the same location anyway). In this case, the gene name is probably best, because the pseudogene is also relevant. If you agree then go to this link and write 200 words on it supported by as many references as you can find. After that, I'll help you get it linked to the Wikidata item (wikidata:Q18073939) and get the 'infobox' on the right hand side activated. T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 23:51, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
