I have now read the username policy in full and amended my details accordingly. I'm the only person that has access to this account. This will always be the case. I apologise that the link I added was deemed inappropriate. The page contains no advertising and is full of , up to date information as well as useful tools that are relevant to the topic that I was commenting on. I have absolutely not received any remuneration and will not for this edit or any future edits. I would appreciate it if somebody could review the link on this basis. If my account is unblocked, I anticipate that my contributions to Wikipedia will be numerous and mostly consist of editing/filling in gaps on pages with technology-related content.

I don't believe for a second that you are not employed by the website you edited about. You don't have to be specifically paid for your edits, being an employee is enough.
