Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... Hi. I'm not sure if this is a bug that I should report, but on my Watchlist page, there's a message that reads "A request for adminship is open for discussion. [dismiss]". I first noticed it a while back and just ignored it. Yesterday I looked into it and, as far as I can tell, I've never been nominated for adminship. Also, there is no link to a nomination in the message.

If it helps, in the page's HTML, it's in <div class="mw-specialpage-summary">, <ul id="watchlist-message" [. . .]>, here <li class="watchlist-message cookie-ID_517">A <span style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship" title="Wikipedia:Requests for adminship">request for adminship</a></span> is open for discussion.<span> [<a class="dismissButton" href="#" title="Hide this message">dismiss</a>]</span></li>

Thanks in advance. Fcy (talk) 16:28, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a bug; whenever there is an open Request for adminship that notice is put at the top of everyone's watchlist so that if they are interested they can participate. At the moment Colin M is running for adminship, and his RFA is transcluded at the main RFA page. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 17:00, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
