Blocked as a sockpuppet of User:Cosialscastells

Request reason:

I am not Cosialcastells. I was always respectful regarding wikipedia policies about changing the map. I never changed the map of the spanish empire because it didn't reach consensous, so I quited trying while I was using Enriquegoni. After, I made the Fireinthegol account because my full name is Enrique Goñi, anyone can identify me. As well as other contributions like in Madrid article, Fernando Torres, Fernando Alonso, Nebrija, I also tried to achieve consensous on that particular issue because I felt that the map was wrong. Is there anything wrong about that?? can't I disagree with a map without being qualified as Cosialcastells????? Only because he disagreed on the map, if anyone disagrees, that means that he is Cosialcastells????? There is absolutely no evidence that I am Cosialcastells. This is an error and it is unfair because I did nothing wrong. And also, I have always been clear about it. I told you that I had another account called Enriquegoni, its my name! if I was Cosialcastells, why would I create Fireinthegol having Enriquegoni?? If I was Cosialcastells, why would I tell you that I have another account called Enriquegoni so you block me??? That is not how a blocked user would act. I have always tried to be clear. Another argument in my favour is that if you see my edits, I am not only focused on the Spanish Empire, even if it is a subject that interests me. The gibraltar topic also interests me. Also the Madrid topic because it is my city. The Spanish empire topic has not been my main activity. I have not made one single change to the Spanish Empire topic, because it never reached consensous on the talk page. I am just another user that is interested in various things and thinks that the map is wrong. About the argument that you told about ducks, I am not a duck, I am a person. The map that you state in your argument is the main map used on the article about the Spanish Empire of the Spanish Wikipedia, you can go and check it typing "imperio español" on the spanish wiki. So it is normal that I suggest that map, since it is the consensous on the Spanish Wikipedia, which is, on the other hand a featured article on the spanish wiki. You can check that since I created Fireinthegol I've been inactive with Enriquegoni until today, making no edits, so it is not a misuse of the multiple accounts.

Decline reason:

Per evidence at the SPI case, block appears to be justified. Blueboy96 23:55, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Firstly, can you please tell Atama to read his e-mail? I sent him an e-mail in which I defend myself. Secondly, I can prove that my full name is Enrique Goñi Martínez. Cosials and Castells are catalan surnames. My surnames are Goñi Martínez, not Cosials Castells. I've uploaded a video to youtube showing 3 official identification documents, my account is "fireinthegol". Send me a friend request and leave me a comment in my channel (for privacy reason), and you can see the video. You could be interested on reading the article Spanish_naming_customs. To verify that Cosials is a surname, you can type "Cosials" in google. It does not have any other meaning in Spanish. If you are sceptic, try to translate "cos", "cosi", "cosial", etc, you will see it has not got any other meaning. On top of this, both are catalan surnames, so it makes sense. I have an account named Enriquegoni, so I am probably Enrique Goñi. You based your accusation on the Wikipedia:DUCK, but the only evidence is that I once suggested a map that the blocked user liked, so, if it doesn't look like a duck, it doesn't swim like a duck, it doesn't quack like a duck, but once in his life he did something that could have been a duck sound, he is probably a duck. By the same logic, anyone that suggests to include that map should be permanently blocked. You can check that my contributions have always been correct, and totally different from the ones of the blocked user, who only vandalised. If this is a kind of punishment, or related to having 2 Wikipedia accounts for privacy reasons, tell me, but do not accuse me of being Cosialscastells, because it is just totally wrong and baseless.

Decline reason:

I have no interest in seeing your identification. None of this addresses the evidence presented against you. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:24, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Telling atama

[edit]

Since I receive no response, I'm logging with another IP to tell Atama (the admin who incorrectly blocked me without evidence) that he reads his e-mail. Fireinthegol (talk) 00:11, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Evading your block may lead to your IP address or ISP's range being blocked as well. Please don't do this. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:24, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to unblock, per appeal on my talk page and an endorsement of the unblock by the editor who has had the greatest conflicts with Fireinthegol. I have concerns outside of the sockpuppetry accusation as well, and I'll outline them in a bit but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now, Enrique. -- Atama 01:51, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now that I've unblocked you, I really want to encourage you to take it easy on the nationalist conflicts. This isn't a warning from me, just some advice so that you can hopefully stay out of trouble in the future. Thank you. -- Atama 02:05, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks, I'll try to be carefull on controversial topics Fireinthegol (talk) 02:20, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Enriquegoni

[edit]

Was your other username Enriquegoni? Sorry didn't make the connection. Drop by if you ever want some advice or another perspective now that I've decided to start editing again. You dropped into a contentious area, where its easy to be manipulated into losing your temper. Take care, not that I'm the greatest at taking my own advice. Justin talk 01:10, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, well thanks for the kindness, I don't think I'll be editing here again, due mainly to problems with The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick. He hates to be wrong about something and when he was wrong, he went to tell an admin who has some kind of influence to him. That pissed me off about Wikipedia totally, but well, this site will always be usefull for collecting some facts. Fireinthegol (talk) 03:34, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He appears to have quit, don't let a bad experience with one editor put you off. Although this is supposed to be a hobby it can be somewhat addictive. You take care, feel free to drop by any time. Justin the Evil Scotman talk 12:41, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I only just now found out you were blocked. I've only interacted with you on the Spanish Empire talk page, but I thought you were civil and reasonable there. Perhaps there were issues on other articles I don't watch. I don't know how the admins figure out sockpuppetry. But you didn't strike me as Cosialscastells-like. And anyway, even if you were the same person, I'd argue that you'd changed. In any case, sorry to see you having been blocked. I've seen other editors blocked who did not nothing wrong but merely resembled some previously blocked sockpuppet-using editor--often with the block coming from an admin who had a personal stake in the matter. It is such a shame when that happens, and assuming you are innocent (which I'm doing!), I'm sorry to see yet another example. I do hope you'll put it behind youself and continue to contribute here.
