It's still marked as open, but as far as I can tell it has reached a decision. Is there some further step to be taken before it is considered closed? Somedumbyankee (talk) 00:31, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

I forgot about it, its closed now.  Atyndall93 | talk  10:21, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Would you consider rewording your closing remark? The three bureaucrats clearly did not conclude that consensus was in favour of Burma; one thought the consensus favoured each name and the third found no consensus. The decision favoured keeping at Burma for sure, but did not find a consensus. BigBlueFish (talk) 12:07, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Look, I'm sorry, but I'm too busy right now. If you would turn your head to the bottom of Talk:Burma/Myanmar you would see that I said that if you don't like it, change it. Be Bold. Happy editing!  Atyndall93 | talk  10:22, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

It looks like "Expand" and "Requests" are screwed up on this page, maybe due to some broken templates. Just a heads-up. shoy (reactions) 16:45, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Its like that because I use the relative {{/Expand}} making it User:AtyndallBot/Opentaskstemplate/Expand on that page (which doesn't exist), but the correct template link when the bot loads it to the open tasks page.  Atyndall93 | talk  01:26, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I've removed the A7 speedy-delete request you placed on this article. WP:CSD#A7 does not apply to TV shows, and that's definitely what it is. If you're still concerned about the article I suggest listing it at AfD. Thanks. ~ mazca t | c 08:03, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Ah, Ok, my mistake.  Atyndall93 | talk  09:05, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Zilla.gif)

Resolved
 – Yes, silly bot, it is going to go into the article very soon. —Atyndall [citation needed] 05:33, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Zilla.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Your signature.

I like the citation needed function. I really thought someone was questioning your vote at AfD. Craig Montgomery (talk) 09:09, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Any good signature ideas for me? Craig Montgomery (talk) 10:05, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Nope sorry. —Atyndall [citation needed] 02:04, 27 July 2008 (UTC).

Atyndall, your bot does not seem to be updating Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask properly. Juniata College was added there by you manually 4 weeks ago, and I am not sure how any opentask can stay on the template for so long without being replaced. The 14,788-bytes article wasn't a stub, anyway. Toyota Canada Inc. and Auburn Lull, "stubs" added to the template in the same edit but no one seems to want to work on them, should also be replaced, but I don't have replacements ready. User:AtyndallBot/Opentaskstemplate? I don't know how to handle the "$" there, so I won't touch it now -- I'm supposed to be on wikivacation, anyway. Please keep {{Opentask}} updated and well stocked. Many thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 11:19, 27 July 2008 (UTC) BTW, if you think Wikipedia:Most wanted stubs is historical, please remove the link from {{Opentask}} and replaced it with something current with actual opentasks. (Or get your bot to get that running again.) Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 11:23, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

The bot works by querying the MediaWiki api for the oldest articles in that category. So the idea of the bot is not to repeatedly update the list, but to keep the oldest tasks on that list until they are fixed. Juniata College was in the stub category for the weeks that it was on the list. Perhaps once I have time I could implement a random article selector instead of using that method, but the oldest article method ensures that the articles that have been on the stub list for the longest receive the attention first. —Atyndall [citation needed] 12:49, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
I like the idea of selecting older tasks, but I wonder if they are left forgotten for a reason. I think we need to somehow refresh 'Opentask' every now and then, or it will be choke full of tasks that no one wants to work on. --PFHLai (talk) 03:56, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Atyndall, I took out Literary adaptation from the "Stubs" line on {{Opentask}}. I'm not sure why your bot puts it in. It's been 6000 byte long since April 2008 and is not categorised as a stub at all. Very strange. --PFHLai (talk) 03:53, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Your bot puts it right back?!?! That article is not a stub. --PFHLai (talk) 04:00, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
The article has, at the top, Please help improve this article or section by expanding it. Further information might be found on the talk page or at requests for expansion. (January 2007), it is therefore classified as a stub and placed (its hidden and does not appear in the category list) in the stub category. If you disagree with its stub classification then simply remove that tag and it will be removed from the bot list. I am thinking about being able to place pages in an exclusion category, but until then, nothing can be done. —Atyndall [citation needed] 10:16, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Atyndall, articles tagged Please help improve this article or section by expanding it.... are not necessarily stubs. A stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information. Please see Wikipedia:Stub, and adjust your bot accordingly. It is not putting stubs on the "Stubs" line on {{Opentask}} as one would expect it to. --PFHLai (talk) 15:03, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps your bot can handle the "Expand" line on {{Opentask}}, instead of the "Stubs" line. Maybe a switch for now? Perhaps Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask/Expand can be moved to Wikipedia:Community portal/Opentask/Stubs? All the opentasks on the "Expand" line right now are also stubs. --PFHLai (talk) 16:28, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I have make some modifications to the code to fix the issue. —Atyndall [citation needed] 12:07, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Looking good, Atyndall. Instead of de-stubbing, the tasks are now stub-sorting. And it works! Thank you for fixing. --PFHLai (talk) 14:32, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Salutationary Poking

*Poke* Hey Atyndall, I just wanted to let you know I'm still around, just been quietly reading up, and learning how-to's and such, I think all in all, Pretty Spiffy don't you think? I was going to bug you about joining a wikiproject or two, if you can tell me anything about them, I'd appreciate it! =) Cheers! NeuroLogic 04:58, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

*returns poke* Thats great! nice userpage as well. In regards to wikiprojects, from WP:WIKIPROJECT:

A WikiProject is a collection of pages devoted to the management of a specific topic or family of topics within Wikipedia; and, simultaneously, a group of editors that use said pages to collaborate on encyclopedic work. It is not a place to write encyclopedia articles directly, but a resource to help coordinate and organize article writing and editing.

Despite the name, the purpose of Wikipedia:WikiProject is concerned not with project management, but the daily management, administration and editor support of the process of article creation, editing and completion.

So basically, wikprojects are a great thing to join if you have a particular writing interest on Wikipedia and wish to collaborate/communicate with other like-minded people on that topic. I myself am a member of several wikiprojects related to computer science and find them interesting. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. —Atyndall [citation needed] 08:30, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

The article is on hold for good articles. Cheers. miranda 11:39, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
