British players and players who play in Britain
Sorry I was unaware there was a protocol that was in place. Sorry I thought it was just an American trying to tell us that we were wrong and he was right. Will look into getting that sorted so that it can be set up properly.No9shirt (talk) 08:48, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Team of Century (can't wait !)
Presumably in addition to a comment on each player article there should be an article on the team itself - as you did for the 100. Don't suppose this should be a section within the 100 article ? Probably a stand-alone is justified ? Do we put player's teams and state next to their names ? Maybe those coloured pennant/icons we use in the SoO articles ? With the line-up we should probably use the assymetrical line up box see here? & I'm all for having the position names link to the RL positions article (unlike on our GF lineups) ? Are you up for driving this with me ? (will let u know now that I'll be in NZ next week). If so I'll create a sandbox page we can use to make a start on.-Sticks66 09:35, 15 April 2008
- I've presumed to make a start hereSandbox - Team of Century -Sticks66 10:15, 15 April 2008
- Name you've suggested sounds good ? Are you in it now ? Do you have any external souces yet we can cite ? -Sticks66 13:29, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
That reads much better than my previous suggestion - excellent. I was reading in Syd paper today that of the college of 130 possible selectors only 70 voted for the 100; and of those 70 only 28 were picked to select the ToC. I may work that into the team article as minor note. What you've said reads well and is accurate. -Sticks66 14:25, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's up here Australian Rugby League's Team of the Century . -Sticks66 14:35, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good! Some graphics would be nice but they can wait - if we can find anything. I'll add the refs to the article page as well. •Florrie•leave a note• 14:38, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well done on updating all those player records. Deserves a "Barnes Star". Albatross2147 (talk) 02:37, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's a Project - you're welcome to join if league is your thing :) •Florrie•leave a note• 05:56, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's a good idea for a RL Star. A "Golden Boots" Barnstar. Maybe Windler can art direct it. -Sticks66 12:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

wests tigers
If I did the history section of this article, would you be able to do the rest of the article (The players, stadium, colours, records etc.) The Windler talk 10:56, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, but haven't you got enough to do? I've got a fair few resources on hand now, it's more of a time/motivation factor and my laptop just died. •Florrie•leave a note• 11:05, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- Never enough, I decided not to do all the history, just the foundation part. Up until the final paragraph in the section "Foundation" I have added. The Windler talk 00:38, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you! Finally rid of those awful year by year paras. It's greatly appreciated, Joel. •Florrie•leave a note• 12:43, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Re: Namila Davui
Hi there Florrie, the only requirement to escape a speedy deletion is that notability is asserted - which it was, whether it is correctly asserted or not is another matter and should be taken to WP:AFD. The exact text from WP:CSD is "This is distinct from questions of verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability; to avoid speedy deletion an article does not have to prove that its subject is notable, just give a reasonable indication of why it might be notable". Hope this helps to explain, kind regards & keep up the good work, nancy (talk) 20:11, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Gibson Succession Box
Hi Florrie, am I right in recalling that coaches succession boxes were something you liked to do ? Well Jack Gibson would have a fairly interesting and involved set. I could find out who was before and after if you are interested in doing this ?-Sticks66 09:50, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll do that. Cheers. •Florrie•leave a note• 10:32, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
NRL Map
Hey mate. I have just seen what a great job you have done with the NRL map detailing all clubs in Australia and the NZ Warriors. I was wondering if you could do the same with the 2008 Rugby League World Cup Venues. This includes the 4 QLD venues, Newcastle, Wollongong, Melbourne, Gosford, Canberra and the three Sydney venues would go in the larger scaled map - Sydney, Parramatta and Penrith. I would do it myself but I do not have the ICT skills. I am a big Rugby League fan and will try to keep updating the 2008 Rugby League World Cup page. It is VERY important for the good of the international game - when people in Southern England, Ireland and Scotland hear about this event, I'm sure many will go to the Wikipedia page for more information. So the more pictures, diagrams and content - the better! *Written by Wikipedia user "Poiuytre" from South England, but I'm not logged in yet!!!* —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.155.44.216 (talk) 22:14, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi - you can use any of the map graphics as they are free use, but you'll just need to add in the text. Let me know if you need any help with that. Cheers. •Florrie•leave a note• 13:06, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Done it! Check 2008 Rugby League World Cup and then scroll down to Venues. What do you think? Took me around an hour but it looks good. I will continue to update and "upgrade" this page. Thank you for letting me use the image. Poiuytre (talk) 18:56, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
He came, he went
Strangely I feel a bit sad about Joel pulling back from the project. I won't just miss his skills but his drive and the huge thoughtfulness he put into issues. And yet I hardly interacted with him. It's funny this little community. And now littler. -Sticks66 14:41, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- And you're not going anywhere are you Florrie ?-Sticks66 14:22, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Bulldogs
Hi. If I can undo it, so can you. If you can't undo it, I can't either, and it would require the help of an administrator. I would discuss my underlying basis for the moves with you, but it requires time and brainpower of which I have neither at this point. I plan on getting back to you tommorow. Sorry. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 07:44, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's funny that you complain about "saved me much of my own Sunday afternoon time". Your contribution history shows that you were editing Wikipedia for another hour and ten minutes after you "fixed" my moves, and then you were back an hour later and edited for another hour. But in regard to the substantive issue, let me explain. If you look at the Category:Australian rugby league teams you will see that the vast majority of the clubs articles are titled by city/name-used-by-fans. They are not titled by their official name as the Bulldogs are. Now that I say this, I realize that although Bulldogs Rugby League Football Club is not the correct name of the article, Bulldogs (rugby club) isn't either. The name of the article is supposed to be consistent with other similar teams, and therefore should be named Canterbury Bulldogs or Belmore Bulldogs. In regards to second move that you don't like: I was just reacting to what seems like a concensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bulldogs off-field indiscretions to move the pages. User:The-Pope, User:Bduke, and User:Dhartung, all supported a move and there were no arguments to the contrary. As a matter of fact, you might have wanted to discuss your reversions prior to going aginst a concensus. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 15:31, 1 June 2008 (UTC).
Game II SoO
I've done a just a little bit of crystal balling in setting up the columns for the game II team line-ups to be announced tomorrow. Am now flying o/s. Would you mind looking at what gets announced 2morrow and completing ? Rgds -Sticks66 10:22, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Will do. Have a great time! •Florrie•leave a note• 11:34, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
