Request to move article Interstate 110 and State Route 110 (California) incomplete

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page Interstate 110 and State Route 110 (California) to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 23:40, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Big-text Interstate shields

Do you know where I can find the specification for these shields?-Jeff (talk) 01:21, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

i do on your talkpage. Actually; usually the shields I want, is only because I think they look cool, and only for historical interest like Maryland interstate shields. maryland state-name specific is no point to be here, is only upload for fun. They are usually fine, just as long is not use on infobox, small icons, or main display. All 50states have use state-name specific in past, does not matter if interstate-guide color the map black, pink, or blue, also, we have no point to prohibit, just because is no onger use on state documents.

Thanks Jeff.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 23:49, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

They are done now, I put them in Commons:Category:Big_Interstate_Highway_shields. I had to use narrower fonts on some shields as the numbers didn't always fit with the given font sizes.-Jeff (talk) 03:07, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Postmiles in Utah???

Freewayguy, Postmile is a California concept, as stated in the article. Utah does not use the California postmile system. Why are you adding postmiles to Utah road articles? Dave (talk) 23:31, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I've never been to Utah so I am not clear how their highway systems work. I am in Orange County, California, southland of Los Angeles. I thought every highway have mileage sigs.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 23:34, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Utah does mark miles, but has a different system from what California uses. As stated in the article on postmiles, the Postmile is unique to California, although Nevada and Ohio use very similar systems. The Utah system is a green and white marker at exact miles (no partial mile markers). Utah also periodically re-posts mile markers to reflect alignment changes, unlike California which has mile markers that do not reflect actual milage when alignment changes occur. MI Jct lists

Why are you messing them up? One of your edits put US 75 in Michigan istead of I-75. Also, all of the various business loops in MI are state-maintained trunklines so they all have articles or redirects in place. The {{jct}} template doesn't work with Michigan's County-Designated Highway system, so that's part of the reason MI has really never used it for anything yet. I appreciate the goal of improving them, but if something's not broke, why are you "fixing" it? Please stop until we can discuss this over at WT:MISH. Imzadi1979 (talk) 02:20, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Please stop removing the colors from junction tables. ELG DOES NOT apply to highways that are not freeways. No consensus was established to remove the colors before. Some editors were leaning toward removing them but nothing was finally decided. Each state that has a project is free to determine things for that state's project and articles. In other words if Michigan wants to keep the colors they can. This is not the correct way to go about this. Please

discuss this further before making any more changes. Imzadi1979 (talk) 04:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

California has switchfrom {{CAint}} to {|class=wikitable like any other exit lists. And anyways you don't WP:OWN the WP:MISH. Nobody cares about colors and we can survive without colors. Its not all your opinion. Originally; I don't see any other opposes to erasing colors besides yours. TMF supports; NE2 say noaccess should not be mention because no entry; no exit. County Lemonade said to erase both noaccess and delete; because delete is not a major junction. 1000s of routes concur; so what's the point of cyan color? please continue this conversation somewhere else;not here. I have others to worry about besides fighting over colors.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 16:20, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

You guys

Don't use talkpage as chatroom. We all have our own things to do. And "go away" is one of racist comments; sorry to say but most of your summaries; or some of them I see is racist and not acceptable. And don't use PH96's talkpage as arguing with friends. He has his own things to do and worry about. the dirs on Exit list I mention many times it depends whether its important or not. In California usually not with control cities. See WP:ELG on bottom; they have few samples of model exit list. My english is probably middle level, and I probably don't know as much vocabs as average admins, and its tough to improve.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 16:37, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Your shields were made for the two red-linked images, though I am not an expert with {{Jct}}, so they are still red, but the new images are done. --Admrb♉ltz (tclog) 16:53, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm not expert of template tables either. I saw the dark blue county images post out. Is it in tempalte format or not. Its better to stick with older way so we don't screw up the tables. I do this alot.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 14:51, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

It was an easy fix. They were missing the |county1= parameter. -- Kéiryn (talk) 16:35, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Removing a report about yourself on WP:AIV

Don't do that. If you were not vandalising then feel free to leave a comment but removing one one yourself looks suspicious. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 18:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

The anony is posting false message, actually I'm not vandalizing. My languge vocab ability is not that high, language skill is not the easiest thing to improve. And weak language skill is not my fault.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 18:56, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

I understand that. But what you should do is state that on the report page rather than removing it. Admins look into reports, we never block on the say so of the accuser so you have nothing to fear from a mistaken report. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 18:58, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

So we don't just list users on AIV and get them block. IPs post false block message just trying to get people block.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 20:14, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Missouri Interstate shields

They're done now.-Jeff (talk) 02:20, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

75.47 again

Please do not do this to my talkpage. i see yellow banner; with no message, but your incivil comments. If you think they should not be merge then find a useful sources.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 14:53, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

  • Only admins can block. And do not post false blocking message on my talkpage. As NE2 said; only most major juntion and cities belong to infobox, most of them is list on major intersections and exit list tables. And why, do we need this many junctions on infobox? Just because you can list 5 to 10 this does not mean you always should.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 16:01, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
  • On infobox its limit to the maximimum level of 5 to 10. Its strongly suggest to not have 5 to 10; becasue its unneccessairly. Only Most major junctions and cities should be list; smaller junctions is list at major intersection or exit list. Its not a vandal and just because you allow to list 5 to 10 does not mean you always should. On SR 42 at least one of the junction should not be list.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 23:01, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Oops

When I finished that last batch of shields I forgot to let you know, sorry about that.-Jeff (talk) 01:23, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

  • Yea, the purges lag sometimes, and this is odd the links stay maroon when the file have exist. I thought they didn't exist. Blame the computer program for tricking us. Thanks for making those shields anyways.--Freewayguy Call? Fish 01:27, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
