Bach style
[edit]Hi, I'm working on a replacement text for that section; the current text is what someone pasted there to fill the gap—it's not worth working on, I think. Tony 04:18, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
Dear Fugueman, I was so pleased to receive your note. I do feel that there hasn't been much feedback on my reconstruction of the Bach article over the past few months. I hope you don't mind my pasting your feedback at the bottom of the style section on the talk page for the Bach article. I'll act on your suggestions now (because I wrote the account of his style off the top of my head, last weekend, there are bound to be errors).
I'm not entirely happy with my subheadings, and, of course, there needs to be more on specific technical aspects of his style, including melodic treatment and scoring.
You might consider signing your name by simply keying in four tildes (swung dashes—top left of your keyboard pressing shift?). It will look like this in the edit box:
~~~~
and appear as a name and date stamp on the saved text. Tony 23:47, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Tony!
Citations needed
[edit]Please add your source formatted as a citation when you add content to articles. I've fixed your edit to Dolores Huerta; please go back through your other edits today and add proper references. Schazjmd (talk) 21:26, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
I will be fixing your pointy wikilinks in which, rather than wikilink to Margaret Sanger in reference to the Planned Parenthood awards, or even more precisely to the American Birth Control League or Planned Parenthood era sections of her article, you're linking to the Eugenics section. It makes no sense in the context where you're putting it. Schazjmd (talk) 21:30, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Problem with your custom signature
[edit]You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:02, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
[edit]Psalms plainsong
[edit]Fugueman, please stop adding YT to the psalms. Discuss that first!! We have to be selective, and a woman singing in English - as well as it's done - is not the One and only way. I'd vote against it. Please, best revert and propose on Talk:Psalms, and see what others think. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:21, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- I have reverted and proposed as instructed. Psalms:Talk Adding a Link thread. --Keyserlingk (talk) 20:49, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you! Perhaps raise your question there at the bottom, - I searched a bit to find it. I hope some people will care and respond. Sorry I am busy with two articles, one planned for today (but not yet begun), the other a woman who just died, and the article needed care. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:55, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
