Irish calendar
[edit]It would be benificial if you did not add that link to pages unless its directly related to the topic. Because people may just have to remove it. Djegan 12:28, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- I am going to revert your work, so please stop! Djegan 15:13, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Djegan! You seem to be a new user to Wikipedia so welcome. I noticed you seem to be going over board on adding events to the Irish Calendar and also adding Irish calendar to every Irish article you come across. Please stop!
- Firstly, IMHO the Irish Calendar article should only be used for a description of the Irish calendar not a list of everything that ever happened in Ireland on every date. Are you aware of the Timeline of Irish history article and the Category:Years in Ireland articles, e.g. 1966 in Ireland? You are duplicating alot of what is there already, which is a waste of your time!
- I am not going to edit the Irish Calendar article although I think the calendar part should be cut down just to annual holidays/Saints days and 'events' (e.g. Battle of X in 1432) should be in the appropriate Year in Ireland category. I am going to remove the link you have in many Irish articles as it is irrelevant. Why in the entry for Patrick Hillery should there be a link to the Irish Calendar? Perhaps you should go to the Irish Wikipedians notice board and discuss there first before making lots of changes yourself? Please take my comments as constructive criticism. 90th Anniversary of the 1916 Rising
[edit]Thanks for creating the page on 90th Anniversary of the 1916 Rising. I have proposed to delete that page, but don't worry, the content will remain -- I have added the content to Easter_Rising#90th_Anniversary_of_the_1916_Rising where many more readers will see it. --M@rēino 21:18, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
