Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the her, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting she claims or interviewing her publishers. You gave no references at all
  • Even if you can find proper references as linked above, there is nothing to show that she meets the notability criteria, also linked. There are many authors, musicians and actors who don't meet our criteria; this isn't social media where anyone can have a page.
  • the article was created in a single edit without wikilinks or references, and looks as if was copied from an unknown and possibly copyrighted source. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
  • Making this page for a friend of mine, Rochelle, who is a known personality in the literary circles. You have an obvious conflict of interest when editing this article. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that she is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

If you still think she meets the notability criteria and want to try again, I suggest that you look at some other biographies to see how it's done, and start as a draft Draft:Rochelle Potkar rather than throwing it straight to the wolves Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:34, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
