An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Meg Sneed. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Meg Sneed. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
File source problem with File:MegSneed.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:MegSneed.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:02, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Question
[edit]Are you Meg Sneed? I am only asking because of the Infobox you just added to the article with the picture that is under a Creative Commons license, which implies that you are the owner of the photograph and likely Meg Sneed yourself. Thus far, I haven't seen anything wrong with your edits to the article, but it's just a requirement that a conflict of interest tag be added to the talk page. It's just a formality and won't interfere with your editing of the article so long as you continue to follow the editing policies. SilverserenC 22:03, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- Since you are still editing, I know you are receiving notification for this. Can you please respond? SilverserenC 22:18, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:MegSneed.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MegSneed.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.righttomarryaz.org/2011_walk/meg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:32, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
You need permission
[edit]As the new tag says, you need to show that you have permission to use this image. If you are Meg Sneed or one of her employees, you have two options, you can either add something onto the Right to Marry website page that you got the picture from that says that it is released under the Creative Commons license, thus showing that you have the right to do so or you can have an official email from Right to Marry or Meg Sneed sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org in order to have the use of the picture authorized. Otherwise, it is just going to end up being deleted in a week. Feel free to reply here or to contact me if you have any questions regarding this.
Tag info copied below for clarification:
"This file is missing evidence of permission. It is sourced to http://www.righttomarryaz.org/2011_walk/meg, and while a copyright tag has been applied, there is no proof that the author agreed to license the file under the given license. Unless a link to a webpage with an explicit permission is provided, or an email from the copyright owner is sent or forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, the image will be deleted after Friday, 8 July 2011."
I wish you well. SilverserenC 23:44, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
