- This is the first time that I write a Wikipedia article, and I am prepared to work on improving citations and ask for guidance. But I am confused, as a very strange thing happened: immediately after my article was rejected, some people/company on LinkedIn reached out to my client offering paid help to ensure that the article about him does get published on Wikipedia. These people/firm are likely insiders as they knew immediately about my article's rejection, and I would not be surprised if they are connected somehow with those reviewing and approving or disapproving the article.
- I always thought that Wikipedia was free to access and publish. If this is true and my article does get published after necessary edits and changes, I would be happy to expend more effort and ask specific questions on remarks/critique which are unclear to me. But if, instead, this is a business, and my client has to pay for my article to get published on Wikipedia, please tell me so upfront. This way I would be able to convey to him how much it would cost him, find out if he would be willing to pay this cost, and also understand if I should waste any of my time on additional efforts to publish this article on Wikipedia.
- Thank you. Glockusglaucus (talk) 20:41, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
