Infobox usage

[edit]

The infobox is meant to summarize the most important and relevant information for a team, rather than summarize all information for a team. General consensus is that alternate colours do not belong in the infobox, which means that special events are not notable enough for inclusion. Feel free to ask questions at WP:WikiProject Ice Hockey. Flibirigit (talk) 23:14, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Flibirigit, The alternate colors I listed are not special event uniforms but 3rd jersey colours which clubs wear on a regular basis. IMO it makes sense to differentiate. Especially in Edmonton Oil Kings case where their 3rd jerseys are completely different from their regualr home & away ones. Am I off base? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GoOilers94 (talkcontribs) 23:18, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It would be better to put the information into the body of the article, in the section named "uniforms" rather than in the infobox. The infobox is only meant for primary colours. Detailed information on third uniforms should also come with a citation, such as a link to a web site, article, et cetera. Flibirigit (talk) 23:28, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
