Citation tips

[edit]

Hello! Thanks for expanding the article Allen Saalburg. I noticed you added additional references ("Crowther, Art in Print, 31.") referring to an existing reference. See Wikipedia:Citing sources#Repeated citations for formatting conventions, and note that "Ibid" or "op cit." is discouraged. You can cite Crowther 2017 repeatedly by changing "<ref>" to "<ref name="Crowther 2017">", and using "<ref name="Crowther 2017"/>" for subsequent citations. This reduces footnote clutter, more accurately reflects the number of sources used, and maintains formatting and full bibliographic info regardless of how often a source is cited. Note that there are optional, more complex, citation methods for citing different pages of a single source, if needed, as explained in WP:IBID and seen in use in Euryoryzomys emmonsae, today's Featured Article. Cheers, and happy editing! --Animalparty! (talk) 20:37, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
