Your recent edits

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:22, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reversions

[edit]

When you are reverted, it is not appropriate to immediately redo your edit without first discussing and reaching consensus. Please read WP:BRD. SpinningSpark 12:35, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the "redo" edit and then read WP:EW

You should revise my edit, not just blindly dismiss it without discussion.

You are the one who is edit warring. Reverting is part of the normal editing process. Restoring without discussion is not. You should read the policy you just linked which explains this and also links to BRD. SpinningSpark 13:12, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you read WP:PA and WP:OWN also "..an editor who repeatedly restores his or her preferred version is edit warring, whether or not the edits were justifiable...". I did not do this.. I accepted the description I added may have been inadequate so I added improvements in the spirit of WP. "I suggest that you use a good textbook as a basis for your future electronics edits rather than rely on your own limited understanding." I interpret this as a personal attack: Everyone's understanding is limited including yours, putting this as justification for reverting is confrontational and not appropriate.

It is laughable to accuse me or WP:OWN when I have hardly ever touched the common base article. It is also not a personal attack. It is a dispute over the material you have inserted. The "improvements" you made were to add sources that completely fail to verify the claims you make. You also seem not to understand that a transistor is a fundamentally non-linear device, despite referencing a claim for linearity to a graph wich patently shows it to be non-linear. So yes, your edits would be enormously improved by basing them on a good text book. That's not a personal attack, that's good advice. SpinningSpark 13:59, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I had already started a discussion the talk page if you wish to join that. I was offended by your reaction so I made you aware. I am still not satisfied that there is any issue with what was added. I would like to see your considered opinion on the edit.

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:CascodeWithNegative.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Notice

The file File:MillerEffect.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
