Manual of Style[edit]

Welcome Grammarperson,

I noticed you are eager to improve pages but may be inadvertently editing without following English Wikipedia's Manual of Style. For example, I noticed several issues with your edits to Baramulla. It appears centre and vandalised were changed from British English to American English spelling when the article is about an area in India where the British have had more influence. The edits may also be considered overlinking which may introduce links that are out of context. I also notice where you changed the sentence to plural when the context appears to be singular to the commander: "If the airport was taken over by the enemy, you are not to land." In that case, you may need to read the reference to understand if an edit is needed. You will be a much better editor if you familiarize yourself with the Manual of Style. You may want to go back, look over your previous edits, and learn by careful inspection how the articles may best be improved. I hope I have not come across in a negative tone but I only mention this issues because I can see you want to improve Wikipedia. Best regards, Fettlemap (talk) 01:55, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing these things out to me! I enjoy making improvements to help make Wikipedia better but I certainly want them to be relevant and helpful! Fettlemap Grammarperson (talk)grammarperson

Disambiguation link notification for March 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Yellow Crane Tower, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page China National day. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Harache family[edit]

Please look at Harache family, where you have contributed recently, and tell me what is needed to remove the two tags on this article. I have contributed some inline citations and improved the wording a bit. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:44, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DThomsen8! Thank you for your contributions to this article! As a general rule, tags may be removed after the issues they point out have been corrected. Additionally, if you have questions about a specific page, you can always post them on an articles "Talk Page." That way all users who have contributed to the article can have a chance to answer. For more information on cleaning up pages and removing tags, you can read the following article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cleanup_process. Hope that helps!
