Thank you so much, I just couldn't figure out the speciesbox template, since the genus didn't have any articles about any of its species. GunnarBonk (talk) 05:10, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, If you need a hand (with getting started on articles such as Icelinus borealis), then let me know on my talk page. It can be hard to get started but once you find your feet you'll be fine. I will take a look at what do do about the speciesbox and get back to you. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 05:13, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can experiment in you sandbox in case you were not aware. Look right at the top of your screen where your username is and click on the "sandbox" and you can practice editting there. 05:16, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
To create a speciesbox will require a bit of messing around and I'm a bit short on time. Below is a modified taxobox that you could use and just edit the binomial name as you need to for other species in the genus. Could you please check the taxonomy for me and make sure I've got the correct order/family etc... What you you think? Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 05:26, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Creating the autotaxobox and hence the speciesbox was a bit easier than I remember, one is created below the existing taxobox, either will work fine now. I'm going to add it to the original article and you can go from there. Cheers. Hughesdarren (talk) 06:02, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I went to sleep shortly after I left the last message, thank you so much for the work you did. I'll fill out the rest of the page with the information I can collect from FishBase. I'll try playing around in the sandbox later as well. GunnarBonk (talk) 15:21, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, if you need a hand with stuff like this then let me know. Regards 23:45, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Txiki Begiristain, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Basque Country. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Andrew Chatto reversion

[edit]

Hello GunnarBonk, you reverted my edit of Andrew Chatto presumably on the basis that a considerable amount was trimmed; the original creator of the article cited a great number of primary sources, mainly through FreeBMD, which I thought it better to direct to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography entry on the article subject, which is a reliable published source and not the product of the article creator's original research. I hope this results in restoration of what I considered to be a very constructive edit- much more work needs to be done on the article, particularly with regard to the business practices of Chatto & Windus, which would better be included in that article than Andrew Chatto's own. Best regards 92.24.233.169 (talk) 00:06, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for leaving a message! I'm very new to using Twinkle, and I made a rash decision. You were correct in removing so much original research, and I always like to see an article's quality being improved. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. Happy editing! GunnarBonk (talk) 00:19, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem at all; if people like you didn't vigilantly check all the changes who knows what could be done to articles... doesn't bear thinking about! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.24.233.169 (talk) 00:37, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
