A little copyedit
Hi Guyinblack25, I finished working in Iori Yagami and I think the article needs a little copyedit before any review. Could you pay a look? Do it when you want, I will be working i other articles. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 19:03, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes!! It finally passed GA. Thanks a lot for the copyedit.Tintor2 (talk) 23:13, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
No problem, thanks a lot.Tintor2 (talk) 00:03, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Space Invaders
Noticed your nomination for the game. Could the gameplay section be expanded a bit more? It feels really overly compact and missing a few details in there given the bulk of the details surrounding it. The re-release section also feels like it should be outside of the impact section.
Not meaning to step on your toes with any of this, just figured I'd bring up a few things that bugged me about the article >_<'--Kung Fu Man (talk) 21:29, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
RFD
Thanks for your comments about that RFD, including those which were directed at me. I remain convinced that pointing out the use of SOFIXIT was appropriate as it regarded the motivation of the nominator. I also think that the warning for LGRDC's responses was measured and justified. I haven't looked at your contribution history so I have no idea what area you edit in but if you've spent time in the AfD/DRV part of the wiki in the last 4-5 months, the size of that RFD would not surprise you. Again, thanks for stepping in and restoring sanity (or attempting to). Protonk (talk) 01:19, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I am reviewing your article, Space Invaders, for GA and will be adding comments on the review page as I read through the article. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 22:42, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Contests in VG articles
Since you seem to be a "go-to" guy for some vg-related topics, I'd appreciate your thoughts on a small matter. Yesterday, a contest was announced for the game The Conduit. Basically, the developer is asking for custom control schemes from the public, and the winner will have his scheme added to the game and his name in the credits. I think that the contest is trivial (since the controls are already fully customizable and any given scheme would not affect the actual gameplay) and doesn't warrant mention in the article, but it's really just my opinion against that of another editor who disagrees. Is there any kind of policy, guideline, or precedent which would decisively show that the contest is notable or unnotable? -- Comandante {Talk} 21:00, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- Much obliged for your help. -- Comandante {Talk} 17:06, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Space Invaders FAC
Thanks for the mention, you should be proud of all the hard work you put in to it. Feel like tackling Pong for FAC next? I think its in very much the same developed state Space Invaders was before you moved it towards FAC, and should certainly be one of the key articles on early video games that deserves it. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 21:25, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I wasn't expecting you to have all the references/resources etc. I was thinking more in line of what you said back in June in the Space Invaders talk page - "Anyway, what I'd like to propose is that if we work together—you providing your industry knowledge of the game and me providing my knowledge of the policies and guidelines of FAC process—this article could be prepared rather quickly." I have access to the references and resources of course, and I think if we just start by going through and having you identify problem spots and what needs to be done to bring it towards FAC, we should be able to do that and work as a team on it. --Marty Goldberg (talk) 23:18, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Super Mario 64 2
That citation tag is bugging me. Do you know of a source for that statement on the SM64 article? - A Link to the Past (talk) 06:13, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'd say "maybe". If not, we can just remove the statement. - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:23, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
List of x media
I just want to gauge your opinion on something. How useful do you think things like List of Halo media are? I'm not questioning that particular list's right to life, but I'm thinking as to whether the ideas behind it would transclude well into other series. I'm generally thinking with StarCraft in mind here (the Halo stuff set some good exemplars for the StarCraft stuff: science fiction with substantial expanded universe, influential series in genre, a good number of books and merchandise, etc). How appropriate would these sorts of lists be in other series? -- Sabre (talk) 15:30, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- On another note, what's going on with this? I thought that was going to be moved out and codified a few months back. -- Sabre (talk) 15:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hows that look to you? Unreferenced at the moment, and the introduction's not been done, but I think I've got all the necessary products on there. I've never worked on a proper list and aimed for featured list before, this is all new ground for me. -- Sabre (talk) 20:54, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Sega and Nintendo
"However, if another drastic action like this happens again, it would be best to take this to a Wikipedia-wide forum for discussion. Like Wikipedia:Requests for comment or Wikipedia:WikiProject Council."
- The latter is exactly what I am going to do for right now. Not only does this merge not make sense, but this was also done with no outside discussion (in which you have obviously seen in the relevant WPVG discussion). I do not forsee Nintendo editors working on and/or improving Sega articles and vice-versa; that is what task force participation ensues. MuZemike (talk) 23:40, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- On second thought, I'll be willing to wait a bit. If they were that bold, they would have already filed a BRFA to change all the articles marked as Nintendo task force articles into WP Sega/Nintendo articles — something that I do not see gaining any consensus on. MuZemike (talk) 23:50, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Left you a message on the talk page for the project, Guyinblack25. And really, so you know, I don't mean any ill will on you, and I think you'll find that in the words that I wrote there for you to read. Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 23:25, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Seeking adoption
Would you like to adobt me? Need someone to ask questions about editing and such. I'll probably focus on editing Videogame articels. Jon swe (talk) 13:31, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll drop in a few questions now and then. Jon swe (talk) 06:21, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
External link policy talk
Thought you may be interested in this, having a bit of a go-around with some Battlezone II fans at the Talk:Battlezone II: Combat Commander page regarding external links to discussion forums and game mods. Working on FAC's you're liable to come across a similar reaction as well when you clear out EL's, so I thought the discussion may be useful because it really represents and summarizes the views on both sides of the fence (fans wants vs. Wikipedia's needs). --Marty Goldberg (talk) 18:41, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Re: unsolicited comments
Thanks for your comments, I really do appreciate them. It's just a case of frustration for me, and having lost my interest in editing article for the moment (save for Crush 40, I come back in quite a bit to check on it and make sure it hasn't been vandalized), I can't really use the space of WP:SEGA at the moment. But as I said, it's really about organization at this point, and if it does become a taskforce, I wouldn't mind helping out with all the moves and such and possibly considering a comeback. Especially now, since I'm finding I have more free time as time goes by, getting used to my schedule and working through it. I just need to find my zest for editing again, an article I want to work on that I can find sources for.
No, I really don't think my reputation is damaged, not even my old RFA has done that. The only reason I've been considering disappearing is so I won't have to deal with Gaogier and Fairfieldfencer and be considered guilty by association, since as you've probably seen, I'm different from them in my editing style. Pardon me if these next comments seem self-satisfying, because that's not the case, but I do consider myself more rational and free-thinking than most members of the project. Then again, I guess another part of the frustration is who I was working with. Even though these guys really helped me get started and stay active, I was really the only one using the space for article improvement. I spent a lot of time developing the project, too, far beyond what even Gaogier and Fairfieldfencer have done—like WP:SEGA/A, Sega Project Newsletters (should be some in my talk page archive), and I did the project's only "improved" content by writing a GA, helping to make another (which no other project member was working on), and the project's only FL. My relations with Gaogier and Fairfieldfencer have deteriorated somewhat, as well, since I do have a different view on articles and notability than they do. They're very inclusionist, I consider myself an incrementalist and fairly moderate on the deletion-inclusion scale. I guess it's to the point that I don't want to interact with them anymore, but Fairfieldfencer still comes to me a lot and doesn't seem to understand about half the things I tell him. Gaogier asks my opinion, too.
If I could find another way around disappearing, I'd be glad to take it, since I still love working with the video game project, and I'm sure that as much as I'm seldom seen, everyone there enjoys working with me, too. And at this point, I'm actually going to tell you right now, I'm considering swinging my point of view on the task force change in the other direction. It does make sense, but then again, the more I see it, so does merging every WikiProject having to do with video games into the VG project, if that's the way we are going to organize things. Only concern I have is I will lose edits on things such as WP:SEGA/A, but at this point, I think my mainspace edit count means more than raw edit count.
Anyway, I will be around, and I'll be considering a comeback. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens next. Thanks for everything, by the way. Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 19:21, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

External link policy talk revisited
Sigh, looks like I spoke to soon. They're picking up again on my talk page (someone posted my user talk page directly to one of their forums in a bitching session). And an anon ip just tried adding in one of the discussion board links again. They're also referring to me as "slightly ignorant" because I consider links to their mods as "warez". --Marty Goldberg (talk) 21:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

The VG article guideline
I think the VG guideline in your Sandbox is about ready to be promoted to the WP:VG mainspace - there's probably a few more things that can be added or removed, but at this point, it is really a nice easy-to-read addendum to the basic article guidelines we have, and definitely a good read for all editors. --MASEM 19:01, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I would go ahead and post a pointer to it, asking for final advice and where it should go; it's definitely a notch away from being part of the project guidance. --MASEM 20:03, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Ico copyedit/lookthrough
I've gotten Ico to the point where I can start taking it forward, starting with GA to see if anyone sees any problems, but I would appreciate if you could look through to copyedit and comment on anything else you see out of whack with it. --MASEM 22:46, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Hey, it's MidKnightHunter, and I really want to be part of your project. but I was shy, and didn't want to mess up your project. Hi, just thought I'd let you know that according to the cleanup listing, the article currently has an unsourced statement. Because the page is a Featured List, it would be great if it could be resolved quickly. Thanks, Scorpion0422 15:13, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Requesting peer review (and possibly a copyedit?)
Hey, I've been working on Half-Life 2: Episode One on and off for the past six months. I think it's almost ready for FAC, but before that happens, I was wondering if you could peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review/Half-Life 2: Episode One/archive1 and possibly even copyedit it? Thanks in advance! Gary King (talk) 07:25, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay sounds good. Gary King (talk) 20:22, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- I think I've gotten everything at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Half-Life 2: Episode One. Please double-check, thanks! Gary King (talk) 21:18, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Image removal at Shadow of the Colossus
I agree with your removal of that image from the article now. When I reinstated it earlier I had forgotten to consider fair use issues, and you are right that this image is currently the one contributing the least to the article. Sorry I reverted you earlier. —Politizer( talk • contribs ) 22:02, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

- I have reported him to WP:ANI, but it seems people are against me for some strange reason. I guess we'll just have to put up with vandalism on Wikipedia from now on. The Prince (talk) 12:00, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Short copyedit needed
I have been working in Fullmetal Alchemist for a while and in the last assessment, they told me the article could be A-class but it needs some copy-edit. I know you do not work in these types of articles but I have already asked a user and he stopped. The fictional info has already been copy-edited so the all what needs copy-edit is out-of-universe info. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 21:25, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
