See what happens
[edit]So, I just woke from a dream in which I made a Wikipedia joke. Me, my mother, my auntie and uncle, and Roger Ebert were watching television; waiting for the network news to begin. The last part of the show we caught was of a wedding (with the sinister main theme of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin as the soundtrack, for some reason). My mother noticed that the whole thing was being filmed and photographed by one person, the groom. She said "Why doesn't the bride have a camera too? That's naughty." My auntie replied that it wasn't unusual, and that even their family's weddings were often heavily skewed towards photographs of one of the couple. I said, "So give it an NPOV tag." My uncle laughed, and I woke up.--Gwilym 18:40, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- I wish I could have a Wikipedia dream. That would be awesome. I dont dream enough as it is. So the chances of it are slim anyway! :( captbananas 22:45, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- I have dreams where my recent techie adventures intrude on a regular basis. Just recently I awoke from a dream where I was traveling, configuring stuff, an dhad to get on a flight in such a hurry that I checked everything, including my wallet, ID, boarding pass, toothbrush, and PDA. I woke up when my (deceased) mother said, "What's a datatech?" But Roger Ebert has never been a guest star. Lucky you, he's cool! David Spalding Talk, Contribs 22:06, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Last night I actually woke up whimpering from a dream! I'm not sure what it was about. For some reason, a bus, a communal sleeping area and large spiders (one dead) come to mind.--Gwilym 00:30, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Funpark shortcut
[edit]EA Games claims it's C&C95.EXE funpark –cd
: [1]. Unlike what the Wiki page claimed before, this one actually works in my copy of C&C Gold. -- Jordi·✆ 10:34, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply (I didn't notice before my sig was so bugged, I moved it to my actual talk page).
I don't have the DVD release of C&C Gold either, I have a European version of the original C&C Gold release (came in a huge cardboard box which I still have somewhere). If just C&C95.EXE funpark
works in your version I guess you own a different version and there are minor code differences. -- Jordi·✆ 19:29, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Wilhelm
[edit]Someone added the nutrigrain commercials from Australia to the actual list, while in the talk pages you say its not a Wilhelm. Well I haven't been to Australia so I thought I would let you know that it is on the list now. I personally can't verify but you might? Also feel free to delete this after you read it Viperix 10:23, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, I put the Nutri-Grain commercial and Aussie Rules opener references on the page, because in a discussion on a forum, we were discussing why channel seven would have ripped the sound off of a commercial to put on its national football coverage... as it seemed fairly lame. We were then informed by one poster that it was the wilhelm scream, and it was linked to the wiki page. I must admit that i tried to listen and it wouldn't work, but it seemed logical. I have now listened to it, and clearly it is not the same. Obviously now, I am back to the view that channel seven are rather lame! Cheers, Seth Cohen 11:13, 3 May 2007 (UTC).
- Threw in my two cents at the Wilhelm talk page. Thanks for fixing the Nutri-grain problem. Seems there are only a few regular contributors for the Wilhelm. --Viperix 23:35, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Some people have nominated The "list of media using the wilhelm scream" page for deletion. Know you have contributed greatly to this article and should know. To opine go to the page and follow the link in the nomination. Then go to the pages nominated on sept 11. Viperix 02:35, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
