License tagging for Image:P2070004.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:P2070004.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:08, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:P2070004.JPG[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:P2070004.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Shinerunner (talk) 10:39, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Petersfield's founder[edit]

You added to the Petersfield, Hampshire article that the town was founded by Williams de Clare, Earl of Gloucester. Neither the Earl of Gloucester nor the Duke of Gloucester articles mention anyone by this name having held the title. Likewise a google search yields no results. However, William Fitz Robert, 2nd Earl of Gloucester, who is alive at the right time and married a Hawise de Beaumont is mentioned as having formed an alliance with Roger de Clare, 3rd Earl of Hertford. Perhaps your source has muddled these two men? Grunners (talk) 11:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit history, and edit preview[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Petersfield, Hampshire. Thank you. ... and while we're at it, on a number of recent edits you have got into the habit of making multiple edits to the same section of the article at intervals of a minute or two. Such multiple edits make the edit history very untidy, and it is preferable if you use the preview facility to check the edits as you go, and then save the edit only when you are happy with the result. I would recommend that you look at Help:Show preview and Help:Edit summary. David Biddulph (talk) 20:46, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
