February 2010[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Template:New unreviewed article. Blank pages are malicious to Wikipedia as they often confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the deletion process for how to proceed. Notice

The article Jai Prakash Menon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This unsourced, unverified, and wiki-unlinked article reads like a resume (of a relatively obscure) person, not remotely like Wikipedia bio. I'm not from his country so I can't even begin to investigate the genuine notability of the person. But on Wikipedia the onus is on the editors to provide proof. The article has had "multiple issues" hatnote at the top that has been there for 5 years. It seems like more than enough time has long passed to verify and add reliable sources. Therefore it's not even worth sanitizing the "resume-like" paragraphs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Loginnigol (talk) 18:00, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
