Old Ship Hotel
Hi. Are you able to create a page for the Old Ship Hotel please? Is it listed? I've stayed there a few times--it probably is, as the architecture is certainly rather interesting. Also, King's Gardens is still a priority I think. I saw your progress on one of the Wagners' pages, and it looks really good btw. It will be a lengthy article for sure! I am officially no longer in Brighton to take pictures, etc., btw.Zigzig20s (talk) 01:02, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- Great. Btw, I have just finished reading Bethan Roberts's My Policeman, a gay novel set in Brighton. She mentions Chichester Terrace, which is also listed and could do with a page. I am not sure if the novel itself is notable enough for a page. It was interesting to read a novel set in a town where I lived!Zigzig20s (talk) 13:32, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, but I don't have a list. I seem to remember Jane Austen mentions Brighton...And yes, I agree about each square/terrace that's listed.Zigzig20s (talk) 14:22, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. I accidentally uploaded a picture twice for an article I'm working on in Australia. Do you know how to delete this picture please?Zigzig20s (talk) 15:13, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'll try to expand this userpage into an article. Very curious about the tower. And yes, the weather is wonderful here. Australian articles are very underdeveloped, so there is a lot of work to do! But my internet connection is very slow--how frustrating--I hope this gets fixed soon.Zigzig20s (talk) 12:58, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. Another wikimedia commons-related question if I may. Do you know how I would create sub-categories for Cottesloe, for example for the parks I took pictures of today (both the John Black Dune Park and the Grant Marine Park)? I see sub-categories for some other pictures in Cottesloe (the train stations, for example), but I don't know how it was done at all. Thought you might know. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 14:56, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

- Looks like this didn't work. Not sure why.Zigzig20s (talk) 16:04, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Looks different here too.Zigzig20s (talk) 16:05, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- How confusing. Should this get deleted? When I did the original search to lead to a red link, I forgot to add Category...Zigzig20s (talk) 16:29, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you. Btw, there are two editors here in Australia who have reverted my reqphoto's when articles didn't have a picture and they've basically harassed me, though now they've stopped because I am ignoring them. But for example, to me it didn't make sense at all to see this happen, when there was no picture...I added some today, but a reqphoto would have alerted me and others that this particular area needed pictures...Those editors have accused me of overtagging when I asked for a picture. What can be done about this?Zigzig20s (talk) 18:30, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- I know. I don't know why they are so opposed to it. My sense is that they don't understand what the tag is for at all and think it must mean they must go take a picture immediately, which isn't the case...anyone could. I am quite annoyed that they have removed reqphotos in small/mining towns, because miners could easily take a picture with their phones, and now they are less likely to think of it without the tag...But even around Perth, LOTS of people could take pictures--I can't do it all--so IDK why they have deleted the reqphotos. Plus it goes on the talkpage, so it doesn't make the article ugly or anything. I think I'm dealing with slight ignorance btw.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:16, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Btw, what is the use my dates tag--do you know? Is it to use 22 January instead of January 22? I am quite opposed to that--doesn't sound very English to me...sounds very modern.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:32, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Oh dear. I accidentally created this instead of the category (going through old pictures I took last summer in LA). However, the other page got deleted, so IDK what deletion code you put in last time. What is it please? Thanks.Zigzig20s (talk) 08:15, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Once again/as ever...thank you!Zigzig20s (talk) 13:47, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Look. They're doing this for American pages now. I had to revert it. Will they revert it again? How stupid.Zigzig20s (talk) 03:34, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
Wagner
Reading your page...looks like his maternal grandfather could do with a page as well, don't you think? What a family!Zigzig20s (talk) 19:42, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, I meant Henry Michell, though the hatmaker may qualify too. (Hatmaker not milliner btw? A bit strange.) And yes, Arthur, etc. Btw, we know that Goulty was opposed to colonial slavery. I wonder if some pastors were in favour of it in Brighton? (In the US, Baptists and Presbyterians usually were.) I always find it interesting to read about people who were on the wrong side of history (and persuaded they were right)! Zigzig20s (talk) 05:37, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
