Apologies - I didn't remove the notice, I just moved it to the bottom of the page and changed the (dbspam) to (hangon).

The intent of the page is not to promote the JayDoc Free Clinic, only to describe what JayRock Benefit Concert is benefiting. Please let me know what changes can be made for this page to remain on wikipedia.

Stop mucking about with the Deletion tag. Oh, and you have a conflict of interest and shouldn't be editing about your organization anyway.

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. My sincere apologies for once again moving the deletion tag, but I would like to resolve this deletion issue and this seems to be the best way to get your attention. There is no conflict of interest as I am unaffiliated with JayDoc Free Clinic. Even so, it is a 501c3 Non-profit organization. No one stands to benefit financially from this entry. Otherwise, if you're simply trying to get help with the page in question, you should try using the article's talk page for discussion of the article. That way, contributors can discuss the content there and administrators can review you reasoning behind why you think the article should not be deleted. I noticed that your username, JayDoc FHC, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Please note usernames should represent you as an individual, not an organization. Your dicussions here seem to show that your name represents or is similar to an organization, the "JayDoc Free Clinic". Accordingly, you should have your username changed to represent yourself.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. {{helpme}} Shirik, thank you for welcoming me to wikipedia. I am trying to get the deletion notice removed from the page I created: JayRock. There was a miscommunication with an administrator regarding the deletion notice, and the accusation of both promotion and a conflict of interest. Neither of these reasons for deletion are valid (see the explanation below and on the JayRock talk page). I am also in the process of changing my username so as to further avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest. Please let me know what can be done to have the deletion tag removed. Thank you!

With regard to the speedy deletion, the first (and only) removal was accidental. I misunderstood the instructions for challenging the deletion. The subsequent moving (not removal) of the deletion was in an effort to gain administrative attention. Again, apologies.

In response to the conflict of interest, I am not affiliated with JayDoc Free Clinic or JayRock Benefit Concert. In addition, JayDoc Free Clinic is a 501c3 non-profit organization. No one stands to benefit from this encyclopedic entry. There is no opportunity for financial (or any other) gain by creating this page and/or describing the association with JayDoc Free Clinic. I fully support the deletion policy for articles made about oneself and agree that independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. That is what is going on here - the site for the organization is listed for verification purposes.

Regardless, I believe the JayDoc Free Clinic and JayRock to be "notable" organizations/events. According to the general notability guidelines:

If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article.

Hi JayDoc. This information is good. You should post this same information at Talk:JayRock so that the reviewing administrator can see the evidence here. This will ensure that, before the page is deleted, the administrator has a chance to see your justification for why it shouldn't be deleted. I feel that I'm too involved right now to choose either side, myself, but it seems like you're genuinely here not to promote an entity but to create a useful, encyclopedic article, and for that you are to be commended. By definition, the speedy deletion process is quite literally that: speedy. It happens as quickly as possible. However, because as all administrators are volunteers, it can take time for it to be reviewed. Sometimes this happens in minutes, and sometimes it takes hours. Unfortunately, I cannot give you a reasonable estimate for it. However, I have left a recommendation on that page that, if the administrator feels it needs work before it can become an article, instead to copy it to something known as your userspace where you can work on the article and then move it back when concerns have been addressed.
