Conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Heather at Lookout. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 16:16, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please be aware; we already have an article about the company at Lookout (company). Given your conflict of interest, I recommend you suggest changes to the article at Talk:Lookout (company) rather than directly editing that article or doing further work on a draft. If you have questions, let me know. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 16:18, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Hammersoft:. I used User:Heather at Lookout/draft to store a proposed improved version of the Lookout (company) page that I shared on the Talk page at Talk:Lookout_(Company)#Draft. Lookout previously used a Wikipedia service that ran afoul of Wikipedia’s rules, causing @DGG: to flag and stub the article. Since then, we have become more informed on Wikipedia’s rules and believe the proposed version would be a substantial improvement over the stub. Thanks for your advice and assistance. 73.252.163.78 (talk) 17:12, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
