Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:3F00 (talk) 01:43, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2023--read the above

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:3F00 (talk) 01:48, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Duly noted. There were multiple requests for citations on this page so I will make sure to adhere to this guideline. HistorianRex (talk) 01:50, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great. That also means not adding your own assessments or those that have been offered by sources that fail WP:RELIABLE. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:3F00 (talk) 01:51, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am adding exact episodes directed by Jackie Cooper that can be confirmed. HistorianRex (talk) 01:53, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Then you'll need to support everything with a reliable source, and omit your personal take on the episodes. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:3F00 (talk) 01:54, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't aware of a personal take, save for interpreting an interview, so I will use All Movie perhaps? Why is IMDB not considered reliable or am I misinterpreting something? HistorianRex (talk) 01:57, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Any time you add your own unsourced adjective ('famous') episode, it's original research. You're doing that with numerous edits. IMDB is user generated, like a wiki, so the content is not considered reliable, per WP:IMDB. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:3F00 (talk) 02:01, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't aware of editorializing as some of that existed already on this page, but I was added content to confirm as such, but I will refrain from adjectives and watch out for anything that seems like a personal opinion. I'm here to help the page and make meaningful and accurate contributions. What about the comments made by interview subjects that confirm the sentences that ask for citations? HistorianRex (talk) 02:11, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I hope you see I am working hard to comply. I appreciate the guidance. HistorianRex (talk) 02:13, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
