Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Your edits[edit]

Hi - you're new so you won't know about our policies such as WP:NPOV. I see you've been reverted. We don't add words such as "holy" (we wouldn't say "holy Bible" unless it was the actual name, in which case it would be "Holy Bible". We also don't comment on deaths. Thanks. Hello, I'm Wtmitchell. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Vitiligo, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 10:44, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. We say "death" if someone died (see WP:EUPHEMISM), and we simply identify people by their name not title. In general, we always write in direct language, not giving any special deference to anyone or expecting that readers will understand special jargon. DMacks (talk) 10:08, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

August 2015[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Computer programming may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • subjects, including knowledge of the [[application domain]], specialized [[algorithms]] and [[logic|formal logic] as well as knowing about Boolean logic.
  • arguing that more powerful notations aided thinking about computer algorithms. Iverson K.E.,"[{{dead link|date=November 2014}}", ''Communications of the ACM'', 23: 444-465 (August 1980).</ref>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 15:29, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
